does sky retention exist?

looking to save a few £pounds and being out of contract thinking of haggling for a new deal.

i'm a low user with 2 or 3 sky tv package, no movies, no sports, free broadband on sky + box at the moment

any chance?

Nothing ventured, nothing gained, give it a try, ask if there are any offers on at the moment as your skint.

Ive been a customer of Sky for 8 years and we moved house 1 year ago. They gave us a deal where we got HD free for a year but that has just run out and has increased our bill by about £12 a month.

I was a bit miffed as all their advertising at the moment says they wont increase your bill, but i found out that doesnt include current offers that you are on.

I called up yesterday hoping to get the HD free again for another year but they said they had no current offers available for me......

I eventually called again after talking to my OH and we've removed the HD and also movies which we hardly watch and this has decreased my bill by about £20 a month.

I did try and see what deals Virgin had on as a last resort but theirs was the same price as Sky.

Let us know if you get a good deal, i might try again.
