Hi all,
Today I looked at my pay monthly bill online & noticed another number attached to my account adding in total an extra £110 to this months bill (due out by DD on 25th ish). I've spoken to Vodafone twice today - the first time to file a fraud claim which they did, then second time to report that they'd frozen my phone instead of the other number (now rectified!).
My question is should I cancel the DD which is due to go out so that they can't take this extra money (that I can ill afford - I am a stay at home Mom with no current income other than from savings). I'm happy to reinstate it the following day/week or pay by another menthod for my account only but I can't have them take this £110 and then wait weeks for it to be refunded.
Thanks
C xx

Talk to the bank (they will put a stop on the dd) - and maybe police if vodafone advice that if you are victim of crime. But keep vodafone informed too, just ask them about the direct debit and how they are going to work it.0

Thanks, its just after speanding an hour and a half on the phone to someone I could barely understand I am in no mood to phone voda again to find out what was happening re the payment (I forgot to ask last time as I have a 6 week old baby to look after). I can't imagine the police are that interested seeing as Voda as investigating (but I do have the hacker/culprits home address...)
