:T1 in a lifetime credit score, only on offer until midnight tonight. Pay me £5.00 and I will tell you not only where you go wrong or right, but will give you the score you deserve.
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Will you also include links to creditors you think are suitable for me without actually knowing anything about how they will rate me themselves or whether they will accept me, but all the while will you make me feel good by saying I have a "High Chance" of approval with them?

    Or is that extra??

  • Please Chanz may i have a score? I guess the best way to know my real score is to give myself an average, taking into account what i already know from my recent score from experian. I logged on to find i had a near perfect score of 999, which you don't need to tell me is pretty perfect. I know! Only 0.6476% of the population have a score as good or better than that. However I recently applied for a mortgage for only 850K only to be refused point blank. My credit score is obviously perfect, so why is this happening!! Surely anyone with a score like mine should get anything they want. Right?!

Please give me my new score so i can feel a little better about myself, and appeal this decision.

    thanks

Well that's all very funny indeed :)

You can have a great credit history (which is what a 999 Experian Credit Score shows) but if your income and outgoings won't support further credit it's hardly surprising the lender will say no. We make it clear credit histories are only part of the equation, but they are an important part and many people who get their data from us find our summary score a useful guide to what it means.

We incidentally build scorecards for major high street lenders and have been doing so for over 30 years. I wonder whether chanz4 has the same pedigree? No, thought not!!

Do the scorecards you build for high street lenders also omit data like applicant's employment status, residential status, time with bank / employer / address, and income?

    No.

Would any high street lender buy a score card that omits as much information when calculating a score as your Credit Expert score omits?

    No.

So why do you peddle it to joe consumer?

Surely if you want to be taken seriously and be able to provide a better baseline guide to an individual's credit worthiness you should build something that takes all of this in to account.

I'll admit, you've done very well with your new member centre and new score guidelines, a vast improvement on what it was before.

But when I, with a discharged bankruptcy order and six defaults on my credit file, can be given a score of "902 - Good", well... It doesn't take a qualified underwriter to figure out that this number is more inaccurate than you could possibly imagine, does it?
