thanks for all your suggestions.

am going to try the finance company - although we've only paid off 1 yr of a 3 yr plan. can't do part-ex as planning on getting a cheap run around.

one land rover dealer has offered 9500, but how do we stand about the rest of the money owing on the car?

if the finance company would take it back - does this go on our financial record? black mark against name etc?
