Loved the story of your run, very funny! I couldn't do wet hair at work, as it dries it gets frizzier and frizzier, I have to use straightners. My hairs is a nightmare when I take my riding hat off, there's no Harmony hairspray falling into place moment

I've never ridden side-saddle, it's something I'd like to try one day, but not with my horse, I don't know quite how he'd react, not anxious to hit the ground...

    Have a good day

My hair is very static which is a pain I can never brush it whilst wet otherwise its a nightmare to handle when dry.

Friday lunchtime and my team announce we are going out to the pub for lunch queue panicking by myself about unexpeceted spends. Got there and boss announces he is paying so posh burger and a diet coke later and I am happy (if not a little sleepy) and to top it all he told me to leave early as I had worked so hard this week so I shall try and leave about 4 which will be great.:D

Oh and colleague just bought percy pigs so my afternoon is complete:T

I didn't get to leave early as I had so much work ho hum
Friday seems so long ago now! OH had sausage casserole for tea and I picked on an Easter egg! Saturday morning I had a riding lesson which was very good and there was a driving comp on the yard so I hung around for a bit watching the competitors. I spent £3 on coffees for my friend and I and the lesson came out my horse budget. I went home and had a slice of homemade bread and a packet of OH’s crisps for lunch

Saturday afternoon we went to buy the fencing for the garden and we were in the diy store forever (well 2 hours) as most of the panels on display were unusable but we did barter them down to 50% discount on 4 of them that could be fixed easily. We got some odd looks with our horse trailer in the car park! In between us dropping the panels off and me driving the trailer back 2 neighbours parked and it took my OH several attempts to manoeuvre the trailer out. By the time I was back it was almost 7 so OH had a pizza out of the freezer and I had a quiche for 1 I had bought in the reduced items. We both had a chocolate lolly for pud. We had a night in and didn’t even have time to buy a paper!

Yesterday I went on a long hack in the sunshine first thing and then had a call from OH to say he had bought the wrong posts so we went back to the DIY store and got the right ones and some cement. I had £435 budgeted for the fencing and went £49 over budget so I need to get ebaying. Lunch was a fishfinger sandwich for me and soup for OH and then we started doing the fencing. OH left me in charge of the cordless drill at 5 and went for a bike ride. We got 3 panels done with 11 left to go!

I made a toad in the hole, using 2 mushy apples and an onion on its way out and sausages from the farm. I also doubled the batter meaning it goes further. We had it with OH now has 2 leftover meals in the freezer. For pudding I did a crumble using a tin of crushed pineapple and some sultanas with some tinned custard.

I was going to make some bread but had no milk powder so called it a night.

Today I have spent the usual £3 on parking and £1.94 on milk and some snacks for my work cupboard from the joint. OH is having pasta for tea that will produce a left over meal too.

I have golf to pay for and my friends birthday dinner on Friday so I need to be really good this week but apart from the fencing we had a very low cost weekend.

I think these updates must be boring but if it keeps me on track I suppose its worth it.

Last night I went to Tesco and spent £25 to include more breadmaking stuff and some toiletries we were completely out of. It was raining so no running yesterday. OH had pasta for tea and I had a reduced ready meal.

This morning I put the stuff in the bread maker so it should be done by the time OH gets in. He will have the rest of the pasta for tea.

Again it was raining at lunch so no running and I forgot my lunch but did find a fiver in my desk so I boobed and spent it on a posh salad and a paper :0( The salad wasn’t even that nice.

I need to ask my mum to overpay the money I sent her to my zopa loan which will cheer me up a bit. Tomorrow is golf so I must only spend the fee for the round not anything else.

    Have a good day peeps

Firstly I have noticed I am always trying to start these entries with the word well! Anyway I came to my old office today as I was meant to be playing golf this afternoon, this included a lovely hour and a quarter lie in whoop. I parked in the next door carpark and paid £3.10 for the privilege of 4 hours. Of course the rain continued and got worse and worse so my boss cancelled the golf (secretly pleased as he wanted to meet for lunch first too so I would have had to pay for playing £18, plus lunch (guessing at least a tenner). I rang up to pay for the carpark for the next 5 hours as it was cheaper than going to the long stay which cost me another £3.90.

At lunch I went out to find a parking ticket. I stomped round to the council offices and they rang up to check I had paid on the phone and registered the right details (I had) so she agreed to cancel the ticket and said it must have been issued in error. Phew.

I went to sainsburys to buy a few bits OH needed but hadn’t written on the list. I met 2 ex colleagues on my way round and had a nice chat. I then went to wilkos to get the rest of the toiletries we had run out of (I miss having wilkos round the corner)

OH has got left over fajitas and rice for tea and I have salad. I have also emailed and asked for the forms to join the oil syndicate, their next delivery is next week which is perfect timing.

I will also be home in the fives tonight which is very exciting.:rotfl:

Yesterday I realised I hadn’t kept up with my pad payments so put £6 towards the cc and another £1 today.

This morning I paid £3 for parking and used £1.50 I found at the bottom of a spare handbag to pay for soup and some cheese.

I have to drop the oil syndicate forms back tonight with our £7.50 joining fee.

I have nothing exciting let to report, I am awaiting for 1st so a few more dd’s will go out and I am awaiting my extra £50 to be credited to my loan.

    Hope everyone is keeping dry.

A lot of people start their posts with well, not something to worry about!

You're doing well, everything seems to be ticking along nicely, long may it continue.

It's very blowy here, the Captain raced around in the wind, it seems to be very exciting as far as he's concerned. I just hang on :T

Thanks Piquant for not falling asleep!
    Its Friiiiiiddddday, yeah

Last night I dropped off the syndicate forms and ordered 500 litres of oil for next week. I went riding and we both worked up a sweat doing schooling exercises (trotting in circles and going round cones not learning our times table!) I then cleaned my tack and didn’t. OH had homemade cottage pie from the freezer and I had the last 2 slices of home made bread.

The car had to go in to be fixed yesterday as the light was on constantly and it was leaking oil. Its been back to where we bought it 3 times and they still haven’t sorted it so we took it to our cheap mechanic. I was panicking about the bill but it was only £25, so I only owe OH £12.50 which I still have in my weekly spends, whoop.

£3 for parking this morning and I would have had to buy more milk for my porridge if I wanted tea as well so I made my porridge with water so I can have 3 cups of tea today (I might need it as I have just spent 2 hours doing an excel spreadsheet analysis and I have forgotten my glasses so I cant really see and I feel a cold coming)

This week I the tubes were delayed and they were jam packed. We pulled into one station and a chap that had been stood on the tube for several stops got elbowed off by a woman in her fifties who was determined to get on, he was so shocked and the blokes near the door gave her an ear bashing for shoving him off the tube and refused to move out of her way when she wanted to get past (to be fair there wasn’t any room for them to move either) There was some swearing but she just scowled and shouted back and had not an ounce of guilt she had shoved someone.

I haven’t run all week as the rain has just been dreadful so I am trying to be extra good with food but its hard in an office where everyone eats cakes and sweets and OH is constantly eating too.

Tomorrow I have a lesson at lunch time and I need to make some more bread and a cake. Sunday a friend and her daughter are competing at my yard and some other friends are coming over to ride.

I also need to do some more fencing at some stage

    Have a good weekend all

Its been a busy few days. Friday night I went to the supermarket and ended up buying 44 packets of crisps on multipack offers although they were walkers not kettle so OH will have to cope but it should keep him going. Saturday I was up early to muck out the horses then went and grabbed a paper and some eggs from the nearest shop and went home and put a loaf of bread on in the BM and made a Victoria sponge. I was back up to have a lesson at 12.30 which was really good and back home by 2.30. I had tuna salad for lunch and then fell asleep for 2 hours whoops!
OH had pizza for tea and I got some bacon out the freezer and had a bacon sarnie with the fresh bread. Sunday I went hacking in the terrible rain (and struggled to get to the yard through the water), the water came up to my horse’s belly but he was very brave and carried on calmly.
OH was having a nightmare trying to dig the pigs out the flood so I made the most of an empty house and cracked on and made 4 portions of macaroni and bacon cheese, 4 portions of butternut squash and stilton risotto for the freezer and 25 fudge and choc chip cookies for OH and sandwiched the Victoria sponge together. I went back to do the horses whilst OH cooked roast pork from the freezer for tea.
Yesterday I spent £3 on parking and £5 on lunch as I was out seeing clients and only had a can of soup at work. I also bought milk for £1 (a lot of mr t prices have gone down so it was 10p cheaper which is all good) Last night I went and rode, OH had leftover sausage casserole for tea and I had some cereal.
Today was another £3 on parking and OH will have the rest of the casserole with fresh bm bread for tea.
My overpayment of £50 to my loan cleared after they found the money with a strange reference on yesterday. Today most of my bills will be clear which is good.

I have OH’s birthday to think about at the start of June. I hope he doesn’t want anything too expensive!

Yesterday I ended up buying lunch again, and then felt really guilty £3.35 what a waste. OH has managed to eat 8 portions of rice pudding in 3 days and was still hungry after that and sausage casserole (2 portions!) The bread turned out well so I had a fishfinger sandwich and I also put on 2 extra jumpers as I am trying to save heating oil. I got charged bank charges last month so that’s 43.00 out of my account and £9.82 for the OD Interest :0( This morning I paid the usual 3.00 for parking. I didn’t bring any lunch as an ex colleague was taking me out but he has just cancelled so I will have to go to Mr T and get something cheap and cheerful.
OH had an appointment with the hospital yesterday about his hernia. Its too bad for keyhole and he has been marked as urgent due to his job. He doesn’t get sick pay for the first 3 days and then ssp. He is waiting to find out how much time he will need off. He didn’t even get paid for yesterday morning I don’t think. He has only had 1 sick day in 16 years and only ever taken an average of 2 weeks a year holiday. I feel so lucky that I have private health care and sick pay and also can sit at my desk when I am sick or injured.
Anyway there is no point worrying for the minute, he has savings and never really spends anything so hopefully things wont be too bad.
Tonight he has salmon, rice and peas for tea and I have risotto from the freezer. Someone has nicked a load of my work milk, loads of people have milk in the fridge and I was talking to a lwayer and she has the same issue, someone actually used the last of her cereal and chucked the box in the recycling. Some people are so rude. I shall be sticking a sarcastic note on it in future.
Its still raining so no running for me still :0( Yesterday I made a pad of £2 for Monday and Tuesday

    Have a good day peeps
