Which Snow Shoe Grippers to Buy?

There's always the cheap option: slip a few rubber bands on your shoes to help with grip on icy pavements (wide ones are better) which is what my grandparents used to do (I'm from the alps the so ice and snow every year guaranteed) works quite well

Wintertrax are £10.50 at above shop. Why pay over £18 and p&p at QVC?0

Last year our road was covered in about 4" of sheet ice and a few of us went out to try and clear some of it. I wore wellies which were useless-couldn't stay on my feet! Friend was wearing jodphur boots and had no issues with slipping or sliding. She lent me her husband's and I managed to stay upright with no problems. Have just ordered myself a pair for this year.0
