Which Snow Shoe Grippers to Buy?

there are these ones that i've been told for icy pavements where there's not much depth of snow -http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ladies-Size-Anti-Slip-Snow-Grippers/dp/B00455AZ5G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1321879398&sr=8-2
or these ones that has more depth of snow with the spikes -http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trailwise-Como-Snow-Steps-Grips/dp/B004RAIXI0/ref=pd_sim_sbs_w_h__2
i'd rather hear it from someone who's actually used both of these and give me their reccomendations (and where from pls?!;)). My main use would be to walk to work on icy/not so walked-on paths for about 10mins, tho' in dodgy conditions could take me a lot more.. there are ones i've seen in shops that are around the £13-£16 mark, tho' apparently a lot of customers are buying them already...i don't want to miss out, but am still unsure what to buy! btw, i need mine in a ladies size 4.
can someone help?

There was an interesting thread last winter somewhere and people who had tried diferent kinds were gving their opinion. Apparently there are some types that will never stay on due to the way they are designed/fit on your shoes. Maybe try a search of the forums?0

I've got those, they are OK. I have some others I prefer though, which I can't remember the name of.0 -
i can't really decide as i don't want to fork out on some costing £16 when i will still slip. the route from the bus to work is an industrial park, so the paths aren't going to be gritted as much as those in a busier pedestrianised area like the city/town. if there's a brand that's recommended, i'd be buying them now.. in fact, we had a light frost on Tuesday, so i'm getting quite desperate now!0

I got great ones last winter from Go Outdoors. I am the worlds worst on the ice, snow slush and I could walk with confidence with these on my shoes. I opted for the coil style rather than the studded one, as you will not damage flooring in shops etc with these ones. As far as I know the studs can wear out etc. Hope this helps
