A pair of old woolley hiking socks works just as well, put them over your boots.

Are these type of things easy to slip off and on ?
What i was thinking was if you were just going to the shops you wouldn't want to be wearing them while you walked around Tesco but you may need to put them back on when you came out.

That's because they've got four legs, so it's like a car with 4WD.

They look like they might be hard to keep on as there's no strap across the top. Any experience anyone? Looking for some for parents for Christmas (although they are currently fans of the socks over shoes method!)

The ones from QVC do have a strap over the top and are two pairs for £18.75 plus £3.45 postage.
(The reviews are very good with a 4.8 out of 5 stars from 115 reviewers.)

Taking them off is easy, getting them back on can be a bit of a faff when you are outside. You can't wear them in shops, on the bus or whatever as they are slippy and dangerous.
