Hi Hazel, well the DOE came out on Tuesday & cleared the moss off the paths & started on the paviers...but with a shovel & a broom it'd take ages to do it,so they got a small 6 foot area done by knock off time & haven't been back as yet. They really needed a high pressure washer!
The HIHE were meant to have been out to clear the back gardens & cut back the blackberry bush & the hedge at the back by yesterday.(My neighbors haven't cut their half of the garden in over 3 years.last time I lent them my Flymo, they broke it on me) Phoned them up & they were meant to call me back but haven't,so it's back with Alex Easton,my MLA, to chase it up for me..

Good on you spike.Even though they havent finished the job at least its a good start and they have acknowledged that it is THEIR responsibility.Keep on plugging away at Alex.Half of these people complain about taxes and pensions and job cuts.It amuses me when i see they have a job in the first instance yet dont want to carry it out.
It takes people like you to make these people step up to the plate....THEIR plate.Well done.

    UPDATE,
Well the DOE Roads Service have been out & cleared the moss from the paving slabs AND the paviers,It's taken them three days on & off to do by two men with a shovel & broom when a high pressure power washer would have done it in a day at the most. They're back today finishing it off...

Is it looking any better spike and is it any safer to walk on?
At least they are on it thanks to you.

Considering they have had to manually scrape between the cracks of each slab & pavier, they've done a good job although their broom skills need improving...(My old SWO in the RAF could've given them some pointers there!:p)

That green slime is as bad as ice, my Mother went down on it at the side of her house a few years ago. Took a good hard brush and a power washer to get rid of it, was like a bottle
