Have you tried google? If its an established business you'll more than likely find it out by a simple web search.

I think 192.com allow reverse lookups, but I seem to recall them charging...

yep... if you dont get anything back, try splitting it out by code then number
    i.e. 07968123456 or 07968 123456 or 07968 123 456.

This website will reveal which operator the number was originally issued by but it does not necessarily mean that the number is still on that network due to porting etc.
 Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:

Do you mean you type in a mobile number and it tells you which operator that number is registered with ie 02 T mobile.

icstis can only help you with the following types of numbers. Not UK Mobiles.

premium rate numbers prefixed 09 that are 11 digits in length
directory enquiry services prefixed with 118 that are 6 digits in length
mobile phone text shortcodes that are 4 or 5 digits in length
numbers prefixed 070 that 'offer' premium rate-style services
0800 REVERSE services. Enter 08007383773 if you wish to complain about this service
international numbers prefixed with 00 that provide a product or service*

Another useful site is http://www.magsys.co.uk/telecom/codelook.asp but dont forget they can only tell you the network that originally had number allocated to them.It want be able to tell you if its ported. Nor will it tell you if its a Virgin Number,it will just say T-Mob.
