  • :T Well Done on becoming debt free Lynz :T
  • [QUOTE=tesuhoha.

However when I saw her I had never seen anyone looking more miserable and when I asked her what was wrong she said she envied me because our debts are going down (£74,000 mortgage and £17500 in debts!). She said they had spent £20,000 in paying off their debts, giving money to family and Christmas etc. She was upset because they only had £30,000 left in the bank! I couldnt believe my ears; I thought she would be happy but she had some complicated thing going on in her head where they are living above their means while we are not. It was really weird so please enjoy and appreciate your happiness and quality of life that being debtfree brings. Sorry I'm going on so much. Tell me to shut up.[/QUOTE]

....Maybe she's upset because she can see the 30k disappearing in a couple of years time and is worried Its easily done (I've done it!) but while its still there she shouldnt be glum and take positive action -invest it or something. Its easy to be so focused on getiing rid of debt but not as challenging somehow on actively saving or investing in self - a change of mindset I guess!

Id love a holiday! God 2 weeks on a beach somewhere would really sort me right out, but alas its just not meant to be Ive a new job starting on monday, and a very intensive training period, plus we now have the dog- so its not going to be easy to get away before the summer. the plus side of that is that the money can sit in my account for longer, making money

The shopping expedition went fairly well today, although what a surprise, not a lot fitted, but I did get a few things, and I felt amazing knowing I could afford all of it! ( less than 60 quid )
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
