Is it possible to port number from one '3' contract to another?

Morning all,
I am due to change my '3' contract and they seem to be coming up with the best deals at the moment for mins and text and so would like to stay with them, they're not offering much on retaining and so was wondering if it is possible to (or any way round) keep your '3' number I would also like to start a new contract so can go through quidco for the £100.00 deal.

Any ideas please?

in a word - no.

but what if you port your number to virgin for example on their payg plan, then port back next month as a new customer. i know a couple of people who've done that recently and as i'm up for renewal next week and the deals they are offering me are rubbish, then i'll consider it as an option.

You should be able to.... it's called Migration rather than Porting but it's the same process

But they won't give the sort of deal that "new customers only" get will they?
