I have a PDF document which I need to edit a little. I have Googled this and it all seems a bit complicated. Is there a quick, tried and tested way?
Thanks
Thanks

If you have Microsoft Office you can covert the PDF to word.
Google 'PDF to word'
Do what you want to it, then save it as a PDF using Microsoft Office, as long as you got the PDF plugin in Office.
google 'microsoft save to PDF'
Tried to put the actual links in, but forum won't let me as I'm apparently a 'New User' Joined 4 years ago.
Hope that helps.0 -

struggling here, downloaded openoffice but as I am not technologically gifted I simply can't see how to either edit my pdf or save it as an word doc, it is mostly contained in a table does this affect how I do it? I just want to edit a little of the text and save as word doc if possible.

I think the OpenOffice method may be broken - but possibly only for Linux users.
If you start OpenOffice and go to Tools, Extension Manager, and search online for Extensions, do you get PDFimport as an option?
If so, install that. It will then add .pdf to the file types that can be opened. You will find the various Word .doc and .docx options in the Saves As... menu. By default it will save in .odt format, which you don't want.0 -

Convert PDF to Word format using www.pdftoword.com - open Word file and edit with OpenOffice then save as PDF.
If www.pdftoword.com does not convert correctly try www.zamzar.com
If you only require minor changes to PDF file try PDF-XChange Viewer - www.tracker-software.com/product/pdf-xchange-viewer - there is a Typewriter option which allows you to add text.
There are a number of online PDF editors, Google 'edit pdf online' (without the quotes) - I have not tried any so cannot recommend a particular web site.0 -
There are 2 broad types of PDF - pdf's that contain instructions for the printer how to draw each character (and are kinda editable) and pdf's that contain an image of the whole page at once as a series of tiny dots (which are horrible to edit - you basically have to start afresh).
If your pdf is the former kind (and it won't be obvious if it is) then open office DRAW can open and edit individual blocks of text. It is an ugly process, but possible. PDF's are designed to be read-only, after all.
However, either kind if opened in pdf-xchange viewer can have new labels and text added ON TOP of the existing ones, so you could use it to cover up the former title. The fonts probably won't match perfectly, but if you can get over that, all good. You need to enable 'comment and markup toolbar' in the software to use the 'typewriter' functionality.0 -
you can use a PDF to word converter to convert the files to word.then edit it.
last, convert it back to PDF,that will be ok.0
