Virgin Media - unable to access web pages a lot of the time... how can I leave?

Hi,
I am currently in a virgin media contract until april time and it has got unbareable over the past few weeks.
I am paying for a 30mbit connection but barely obtain 1 mbit
I have spoke to customer sevices 10+ times to try and sort out the problems they insist to me there is no problem all of the time.
I realise i am stuck in a contract with them, but surely there must be a way of getting out if the service they are providing is so bad, I sometimes cannot even log into secure websites e.g. online banking because the packet loss is so high/or i get dc'd and my ip address changes so I can't finish through the log in process.
