Problems with T Mobile - no signal

Hi all,
I have a Blackberry Curve on T Mobile - and took out a 24 month contract. I have basically struggled from the outset with poor signal....
Despite going back to T Mobile many times and complaining, they say it was my responsibility to have checked network coverage before I'd signed up. Now, I did check coverage - and by the maps the coverage in my general area should have been good. It isn't in short - it's dreadful!
Anyway, I have been offered a job rurally, and need to know I can rely on my mobile (especially dark winter days/nights and bad weather - we live close to Yorks Dales). I would like to know if I can claim 'unfit for purpose' with the provider?
I have tried to struggle on for months now (18 to be exact), but I am really going to need my phone to be reliable from next week...
Help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

To be blunt, no chance whatsoever. Especially after 18 months. If you'd gone back in the 1st month you might have had some slim chance.
No network will give you 100% coverage in rural N Yorks. No free lunch, and no free laptop0
