It must be my lucky day, just got an email saying I had won the baileys cupcakes :T:T I believe someone else on here also won them.

Well done! I won them last week. They were delivered last Friday at 6.30pm by a very grumpy driver who complained that he had to work late because it was Christmas. To be honest, the cupcakes were nice but anyone who actually pays the £25.95p (incl. delivery charge) for them must have more money than sense.

Welcome, Cocobear, you'll soon be at it like an old pro. (No comments please HC) Which store was it?

Ooh I hope so. Not only is money a bit tight but I get a lovely warm feeling when I make a good saving :-)

My local store is H3m H3mp. It's just had a big refurb. I managed to find the price check machine but it wasnt working. I asked a SA and she said that it wasnt connected yet, and should be in a few weeks.

    :-)

I have replaced a couple of laptop keyboards before and its quite easy. Look above the keyboard, there is usually a cover that goes under the screen and sometimes is screwed in behind the screen's hinges. Remove this cover, gentle pressure sometimes needed to un-lug the plastic lugs. This should reveal about 3-6 screws that hold down the keyboard. Undo these and the keyboard should lift from the top - BEWARE the ribbon cable connects under the keyboard so be careful. The cable is removed from It's plug by pulling back on a retaining bar* in the socket - use your fingernails on both sides at the same time pulling it back. This bar only needs to come back a few millimeters and usually does not come off. Pull ribbon cable out of socket and remove old keyboard. Fit new one in reverse order.

    * sometimes these ribbon cables do not have a retainer bar, but instead have a reinforced plastic strip for pulling or pushing on.

This post just proves to me how valuable this 11 thread is, the things I've learned on here;), not that I'm planning on using the above but the expert is there. I may be asking Frequent for decorating tips in the New Year, I can't climb a ladder but I have 2 nephews who may have to have their arms twisted :)

Whoever starts the new thread please copy over all on the first post of this plus HC's link to that Daily Mail article about 1p items I'll be carrying that around not that I've ever found any apart from the nuts.
