Don't know if many of you will remember our accident 3 weeks ago, well we heard on the 1st that the other side was pushing for us to admit full liability, today the solicitor rang up to say they are admitting full liability (Insurance companies choice but not the old ladies she was still denying) :T They have offered us both compensation although same amount, I have declined the amount they have offered me (hope that doesnt sound greedy) I will see what they say and how I feel when I have my physio sessions, ....!

Not greedy at all! Glad you are getting somewhere! Its been 3 yrs since hubbys accident and he has just been offered half a million and barrister told u to decline:eek::eek::eek: We only ever thought he'd get £100,000 so the offer seemed generous but apparently its not:eek: We now have to decide what to do :(
We are skint so this would solve everything especially with christmas coming, but we should listen to the legal advice.

Ok. So I just opened my tin of Fox biscuits that Tesco were selling for £10

There are only about 20, yes 20 biscuits inside!!!!

How can they justify charging 50p a biscuit, huh!

They aren't even that special. Mainly a hunk of chocolate with a minuscule amount of biscuit on the majority of em

    Do people really BUY these?!

Yes of course they do.ood sel £5 = dtd so free and a jtd voucher for £5 = no contest. How many people agree that t's has improved a lot of people's maths' skills? Perhaps Nikki should be sending her DS shopping, he'd probably put us all to shame :rotfl::rotfl:

MKS hope you had a good holiday missed you guessing the size of my feet! ;)

Thinking of popping over to CL today as it's nice and sunny day for a drive. Did go other day when the Power force Tool Set and work bench was reported as being £9.50 as I remembered they did have loads on end of an aisle at back of store but they had all been replaced with xmas decorations. :(

    HHHHHHEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPP.....:eek::mad:
I don't know whats been happening on here this morning as wanted to write this asap... but Morning everyone, or maybe by the time this is posted.... Good afternoon

Anyway, one day I love Mr T, next day I hate him..... actually today it's one hour I love him and the next I hate him.....

This is with regard to the cadburys halloween fingers....

I spoke to a friend last night who is the chairman of a local registered charity organising a fundraising kids party tomorrow, and asked if he wanted some boxes for the party.... yes it was necessary to ask first as the party is for kids with diabeteies 50of these going along, plus their siblings and parents.... he said yes, as long as they have the label on the packaging for the carbohydrate and sugar levels please get some, which obviosly they have to do.

Well we have 2 stores here in N a r...... ich.....
Went to 1ppy road first knowing they had some last night. I did (almost) clear the shelf, but it is for a good cause. Then at the checkout before attempting to purchace I explained the situation to the lovely lad there who is checkout supervisor.... he did check with one other person, but both said no problem, we don't have a problem with that. :T:T:T:T Thumbs up for 1ppy rd

To make sure we had enough, I headed up to BB spr0w5-ton, who had actually re-stocked the shelves since I was there earlier in the day yesterday!!!!.... as before, I politely asked the checkout supervisor and couldn't have got more of an opposite reaction! 'We can't sell them if they are going through at 1p'..... 'they shouldn't be on the shelf'..... 'how did you KNOW they were only a penny', (like I was some kind of criminal,) and when I replied 'coz I had brought a box last night', I got well you shouldn't have been sold them! And then I told them that I knew coz my sister got some in leicester that had been marked up as reduced stock. (Is this a lie?.... I would class lots of you out there as my cyber sisters, and i'm sure there is one or 2 of you in Leicester :p.) I do actually have a sister there, but she gets the glitches after I let her know they are there!!!!:o:D

Left the store non too happy and came home and called customer services..... the guy I got was actually none too helpful himself, but i'm now waiting for a call back.... wondered if there was anything more I could do??????

My friend had a terrible car accident in which her fiance died at the scene, she broke both her legs, her arm, sholder and has scars all over including her face !
She was compensated £15,000 and it took about 3 years before she got anything?

Some of them are as unhelpful as the store staff. No idea how many work there, spoke to a young lad called Kevin about 3 weeks ago no help at all, there is a nice older gentleman I've spoken to a few times, can't remember his name, I have to phone them today, I hope I get someone nice, sadly its the luck of the draw.

Edit - just checked the letter his name was Michael

Elsie, she is absolutely gorgeous and very lucky to have found you.

a 'clicked' Thanks isn't enough for this lovely comment, so i thought i'd post one!

    THANKYOU!

We do love her to bits now... she's part of the family, I can't believe no one came forward for her! She defo loves my teenage son more than me though :o and with only the 2 of us here she's great company for him too.... he's never been much of a people person, but is very much an animal person.... I'm sure Happy Chappy will relate to this.:) It's great to have her in the house, and very useful for getting him out of bed in the morning.... she trots halfway down the stairs and I can call to him that she's sitting there waiting for him :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Clever 'Cookie!'
