  • it was me, i reported happychappys joke.

but i have never threatened or bullied happychappy. i told him that most of his jokes are racist/offensive and if i found them to be offensive i would report them to the admin team. mse has rules that need to be followed. they are loads jokes on here that dont upset anyone. happychappy can use similar jokes.

Yup, and I made it quite clear that I didn't consider it bullying or threatening. :)
  • Basically I went to a not too distant mr T late yesterday afternoon. Bought a couple of Halloween sweeties at a penny, found some modern milk etc etc. Now for the strange bit. THis store is having a refurb at the moment so stuff is all over the place.... Dairy milk on a shelf with £1.oo Sel, so i asked a young SA if he could price check it at the till for me - I always send them so I don't get trouted if its at the "wrong" price IYKWIM?!

He comes back saying "oh its only 34p!" result! so i thank him and take the 10 left on the shelf - hubby is a HUGE consumer of Dairy milk so fab saving!, I then go on to finish my bits and bobs and just so happen to come across 1 lonely Plenty 4 roll + 2 free - Red out of stock thing over the SEL which i can see has pence at the end so think its good for 92p. Anyhow go to the till - young lad puts shopping through - 1p sweets etc, plenty 92p - brill, then my choc. it goes through at 93p! so i stop hom and say but i had it price checked it's supposed to be 34p? he check another bar - no definately 93p, so he calls a supervisor, who authorises it at 34p - when she sees I have 10 bars she says she will have to suspend transaction and check with floor manager.... so cut a long story short she takes me to another till further down the line. I explain that I had asked somebody to price check it and it was saying 34p. The girl on the till said yup, that was me it goes through at 34p, so the supervisor looks and sure enough it goes through at 34p on her till............

Well after a while they decide they have to let me have it so i put the shopping through this till instead and guess what! Yup you've guessed it the Plenty oges through at £3.00!!!!!!!

So I pay and find the supervisor again to get my DTD - she wasn't having any of it BTW as she said there was obviously a problem with their till systems that day... So I reckon that some of their tills hadn't been updated properly or recently - this was a till i don't usually see them use as its right at the end of the store?? so those that are getting the Dairy milk at 34p your plenty may well be at £3.00 and those that are getting cheap plenty will be paying more for your chocolate!

The supervisor couldn't see my issue with the fact that dependant on which till i randomly chose i would be paying up to £8 pounds more for my shopping than an other one!

what do you think? Is anybody bothered?!

I can't for the life of me understand why anybody would complain on a discussion and chat thread about all the discussion and chat, isn't that why thread 12 is still alive.

Thats what has always puzzled me. It would appear that only certain discussion is allowed when nobody has the right to decide what is allowed apart from MSE mods?

Not having a go at anyone in particular but if people go it alone or don't post because they have no tolerance of this or that or the other then so be it. A bit of a cliche but remember "United we stand divided we fall" Having said that there will always be a new generation of posters who come along and pick up the thread and continue. Perhaps even back on the main board?

As usual just trying to get a sense of balance, open mindedness and fair play to the fore:)
