I'm absolutely totally tired! Done 5 big Ts and 2 Express ones!
I think I might have overdone it with the 1p green teabut I saw them in nearly every store I went to and couldn't leave them there all alone...
Got some of the 1p lucozade shots too, tried one and they are awful! not even worth 1p as they are not drinkable in my opinion!
hmm... wonder if bf will like them then...
got a few other bargains too... nothing new though... and I scanned a lot of lonely looking items and no luck...
My first day at work tomorrow!I'm a little nervous but I hope it will go well
Nikki: good luck to you and your DS tomorrow! :T0 -

Mads forecast for the next 48 hrs
Severe winds (with gusts 80mph+) will affect most of Scotland and the majority of Northern England from 03:00 GMT tomorrow. Structural damage is a high possibility. Cold air from a NW direction will result in blizzards forming in central and western Scotland on Friday, moving in a southerly direction towards the midlands. Although mild on both Thurs/Fri heavy rain is expected in the south of England causing localised flooding.
Keep safe in Scotland:A
Keep all windows closed.
Baton down the hatches! Stay indoors! Don't go out unless absolutely necessary.Toni`s Mummy0 -

jumblejack wrote: »I can understand your arguments Sunshine101 but as I quoted earlier, tampering with barcodes is retail theft. I quoted directly from source not expressing a personal opinion.
I have purchased items that are charging above the SEL price but I have never deceived staff into thinking I was unaware of such. The policy regarding overcharging is theirs not mine. The policy statement behind the desk simply states that an overcharge will be refunded in double. It does not state that it has to be proved to be an accidental overcharge on the part of the consumer so no need to put on an act at the desk.
I have had to put things right several times at Tesco when I could easily have stayed quiet and come off a lot richer by doing so but my conscience will not allow it.
On one occasion I was about to pay for my items and then asked whether it was too late for me to have £59 cashback. I was told not at all. The till was opened and he took out £50. I thought hmm, I didn't have to put my PIN in again. I checked the receipt and it hadn't been charged. I returned it to him and explained that his till would be down by £50 if he didn't put it back.
How could I let a young lad get in trouble for the sake of me walking off with money that didn't belong to me.
On another occasion I returned a suit that had a reduction on the bottom which made the suit £25. When I returned it she gave me the full price of the suit back. I had to explain that I hadn't paid that much for it and it took a lot of faffing around to get my refund for the correct amount.
A third occasion I was getting Pantene shampoo through on the SS. One item didn't go through properly so I asked her to cancel the one item. She did but when I went to pay, the machine spat out a receipt and said "Please take your bags".
No payment showed on the receipt. I had to ask her to ring them all through again so I could pay.
I don't see a point in mentioning these things on the rare occasion Tesco makes a blunder of this sort but I am mentioning it now as I am not dishonest and do not believe that it ever pays to be dishonest. No gain is worth the sacrifice.
i agree with what you are saying Hun.. and i would say i am an honest person too - if i was ever faced with any of the situations mentioned in your post - i would do the same... and i recon so would many others on here too.....Proud Mummy to a new little girl - Phoebe... born 11 days overdue on 3rd Jan 2012.0 -

sunshinestar101 wrote: »ok - clearly a touchy subject regarding the re-stickering of barcodes....
but it is NOT illegal.... cant remember who it was that mentioned that companies are not ment to re-sticker items to charge a higher price.. but they are correct in saying this..... They would have a lot to answer for if this was brought to light...
Only exception is regarding REDUCING items - hence the yellow stickers on Whoopsies - They HAVE to state the original Price - and then the reduced price...
and on the note of 'obtainong goods by deception' - well, everyone that has knowingly obtained a DTD item (knowing they were being charged more than the SEL) is also committing the same crime... You are deceiving the store into believeing you were unaware of the higher price paid - until you checked your receipt....... therefore deceiving CS staff....
Also anyone that has purchased a 1p item - KNOWING full well that the store is NOT ment to sell them... also 'obtaining goods by deception'
And anyone that has used a coupon for any other way it was intended (wether with multiple e-mail addresses, using more than one in one transaction, using for other items... etc etc) - also 'obtaining goods by deception'
There are also other ways in which this 'Law' could be interpreted - but can you honestly say that none of you have ever done any of the above????? - i doubt it.......
Pot,Kettle,Black.......
i think for me it would be more a case of the store/staff would have no way of proving that you were trying to decieve them by obtaining DTD/purchasing a 1p item...as regards the coupons, you could say 'whoops, didnt realise i couldnt use them all'...but how could you justify being caught in the act of tampering with stock and removing a barcode?
I certainly wouldnt advise anyone to try it...but its up to them at the end of the day...like Leenie, I wont judge anyone on here for doing it...just wouldnt want anyone on here to suffer the repercussions of it thats allhoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -
