HappyChappy84 wrote: »Did she go on a package or did she go independently? I went independently as I read if you go to the main hotels/resort security are reluctant to let you leave for "security reasons" (unless you're going on a pre arranged tour) but the guide book stated it mainly to force you to spend your money in the resort/hotels with are majority government owned or the government gets a cut from.
I chose to stay in a B&B and although the money I was paying her a good cut was going to the Government I knew that what she got to keep was going in her pocket.
I like the idea of going walkabout rather than stuck in a hotel/resort. I hopped on a sightseeing bus of Havana and was looking out the window when I thought "ohhh, that looks like an interesting building, I'll get off at the next stop and take some pics". So I got off and walked back and walked round it taking pics then noticed all the security cameras were following me and men with guns appeared at the main doors:eek::eek::eek:
So I made a hasty retreat.
It was only the Russian Embassy I was taking pictures of.
look like a transformer - optimus prime.
same here with the hols, went to gambia abuot 15 years ago stayed in a hotel, but me and oh snuck off adn went for a tour round ourselves and stayed ina mudhut in the middle of nowhere.
the cockroaches and the outside loo;);) did freak me out a bit though. (backgarden) but it was only when oh got off his head on the moonshine started to panic a bit.
wicked - oh those were the days.
another time when i was young and nieve we went to amsterdam and i wanted to look at the red light district. "you've just walked past it" my oh said.
we we had to walk along again as i really hadn't noticed. dooooooh stayed in a cool campsite just out of town as well.0 -
Helllooo everyone
welll I went back to tesco with my friend and she got the meal deal for us both...woohoo they didn't have a clue why it wasn't going through so pulled one of the bottles of wine from the shelf hehehe.
I had a query earlier that was missed, perhaps someone can help....dormans fabby nuts, are they being replaced by smaller bags? Lots on clip strips today but they were smaller packets and had £1.00 SELs....I suspect they will scan at full price. Has anyone else come across 50g bags?0 -

Its not very often that I post but I feel I have to say something here. When the lady on the programme was talking about her shopping she told the person interviewing her that she bought thing's that were on offer even if she didn't use them, because it didn't matter if she threw them away it was free.
I was actually quite appalled at this idea. Not very MSE in my opinion.:o
Not sure why I got quoted on this, but I agree with you 100%. That was one of the many things that 'irked' me about her :S0 -

I've made one post about this whole channel 4 thing and going to say this and then be quiet:p Channel 4 were discreetly asking on here round about March time to see if anyone was willing to do this show. The general consensus was no way would any of us want to reveal any of our "secrets" and who in their right mind would really want to be identified by T's as a serial couponer? So when this lady decided to do this she must have been very green or a bit mad.My main thought last night was for her children, my son who's older watched it and said he'd have been mortified if I'd have done it and as Caz said I was more worried for her kids at school today. Also if that was my son, and he was as upset as "James" seems to be their is absolutely no way I'd be letting him post on here.Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0

Found some Dairy milk for 34p in bl*ys today also the satay nuts 1p(got the last 5 bags sorry) and even the leaf trays(loads left)!! Going to give the 5 trays I got to a charity shop
Saw a couple near the Dm's and decided to tell them about the price, what a mistake that was! They didn't believe me at first thought i was fibbing  I then pointed them to the price checker and told them to check themselves. Well once they found out I wasn't lying you should have seen them they took the whole lot two and a half boxes full and even picked up the broken ones!! The greedy bug**s didn't even thank me. Makes me wonder why I bother, but I guess that will probably be the last deal they will seen in a long time as they didn't look like MSE'ers

Your mother has sold herself (and everyone else) out for the sake of an appearance fee and 15 minutes of fame.
