I was supposed to be going to bed, but, could you tell me what the meal deal glitch is please? I must have missed that one. :o TIA

    :)

if you're store has Smoked haddock risotto in the offer the discount doesn't kick in! :) so DTD :)

however remember alcohol selling times vary between the 24 hour stores.
  • Would I be taking the P I S S if i get refunded DTD tomorrow for the meal deal glitch and then bought more of the same meal deal? Anyone tried this? what would happen?

nah , you could just really fancy the meal deal again aha, and hoping they wasnt going to over charge you , then ooops they over charge you again! damn tesco! nevermind DTD please lol

    chilli, lots of chlli!!:D

Not in spag bol, I'll put chilli in my chilli though...

Speaking of spag bol, I've just had a rather large portion (just to test it you understand) and it's not bad. I either need to cook it longer or soften the onions in a frying pan to start with. Probably best to cook it longer and I need to make the chunks of pepper smaller too. And more garlic was needed, at least another two bulbs.

Not keen on the Trattoria Verdi sauce either but will see what it's like tomorrow as spag bol is the same as soup, better a day old. :)

Just catching up on the thread and have logged in purely to say something that's not going to be too popular but needs to be said again, especially after tonights channel 4 programme when that woman was blatantly misusing coupons.
It is against mse rules to request coupons from other posters and it's really happening a lot on here especially with the comfort coupon. I will hold my hands up to pm'ing someone for it, but it really has got to stop otherwise this thread will end up getting closed and that's the last thing we all want. It's even getting commented about on other threads that it's happening on here.Sorry guys but it needs to be said:(
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:

So not really that much different from what we see on this thread then?!

There is one hell of a difference between what Henlans got up to and what users on here get up to. Yes there's some coupon abuse but not £20 a time coupons. Yes, some people go out of their way to find a DTD. Well that's no different to the DTD days when there was a spreadsheet detailing the potential DTD value of lots of groceries.

DTD (the Asda one) was abused my many people from the simple submitting more than 10 receipts per month using numerous email addresses or using more than one coupon per day to the likes of Henlans. It's one thing to do it, it's another thing to come on here and brag about it or look for sympathy if it all goes wrong.
  • while the forum goes down in a bit for maintenance. I might watch that C4 programme everybody has been talking about!!
  • the coupon lady donated her time in preparing the event i think, and the free food she had acquired by couponing, glitches and dtd as you all do so i dont understand why yyou are all slagging her off when you all seem to do much the same - some to greater/or lesser extent going by some of the photos of hauls you have all put on her.

one minute you slag her off for being greedy/the next you call her a lightweight.

there does not seem to be much mse spirit know - where is your ususal "us against the world/tescos attitude".

    sorry i dont get you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

some of you blatantly go in acquiring phones, etc to get dtd, or use multiple coupons on mulitiple websites.

i am not seeing the difference between anyone of you guys or her so cant understand why you are slagging her off.

and i dont think there is anyway even if she lurkes that you know if she has thanked anyone else - is there@ not sure.

shall we move back to discussing tescos deals again......

I agree with some of your comments , it was actually nice of her to do the charity event BUT something didn't sit right when she took back the whole 15 quid and didn't pay a penny for her lunch , even if she popped a fiver in the basket it would have been something and if I'm gonna do something like that for charity its only money and I would have let it go for a good cause for sure!

I do non charity events , just get groups out socialising etc and we have a Christmas party coming up which I've organised and see no problem with buying some table decorations & crackers ( non expensive ones ) etc out of my own pocket as it adds to the ''feel good factor'' of the night which is PRICELESS

The fact that you look around and see everyone having a good time , chatting away together and having fun when they prob would have been stuck at home , often on their own , gives me a good feeling inside but I didn't sense any compassion or goodwill from that lady at all

Plus the reason I said she hadn't thanked anyone is VERY OFTEN on here we actually POST A COMMENT under a deal thanking the OP which she has NEVER done , she just takes the coupons and runs! lol

I do agree with the double standards though as in boasting about getting more stuff than she did but then saying you don't like her?????????

( But I know on here coupon abuse etc is seen as FINE but as long as your kids have a shower and better food than she feeds her kids then everythings okay with the world! LOL )
  • Lol, was she blonde?

    Actually, yep.:o:o
