Bee in bonnet I suppose because it's actually very funny reading all the post's about the C4 show and the woman openly abusing coupons yadda yadda. then you post I got 40 bottles of comfort and you got patted on the back for it.
Don't you see it yet
ok...I posted when I got home..I didnt read back the 11 pages I had missed until after then, and like I said I havent watched the programme.
I've amended my original post to delete the amounts to not cause offence or upset on here...but I see you've already brought it up on another thread. I wasnt bragging as such...just excited about getting a good shop....other people have put their hauls on here...taking boxes of DM/sweets/wine etc as well as DTD hauls...I didnt think my post was much different and it wasnt meant to cause upset.
I suppose the timing of my post, coinciding with the TV programme has made this worse...if I'd read back first or watched the programme then maybe I wouldnt have posted. Like I say, it wasnt meant as a p*sstake after the TV programme.
Just as a thought though...when you said about the coupon being pulled, if people had it saved as a PDF, how would they know it was pulled unless they saw it mentioned? I read it had been pulled but thought that was down to the actual mumsaver website (or whatever it was called), as unilever are still giving limited coupons on FB. I just printed a fair few off weeks ago when it was reduced to £1 and used the ones I had left today...along with printing some more off. Not wanting to start a debate...just wandered if you knew...or if when they're pulled, are they then refused (or supposed to be refused) at the checkout?hoping for a very MSE Ts glitching 2012!0 -

Each to their own I guess lol.
Is there a way of searching out the current offers on here, I have no idea what DM is? Just wanted to write a quick list for the morning. Thank you lovely peeps
Edit - What are the mini wines please? These wpuld be ideal hamper items.
These are little bottles of wine - one glass full size, there are some on offer at the moment for 2 for £3 etc, you need to get a minimum of 6 bottles preferably the ones that are on an offer of 2 for £3 or 2 for £4 not exactly sure what the price branding is - then when you have paid for them the 2 for £3 offer kicks in and also 25% off over 6 bottles kicks in as well which means it normally works out at around 90p ish a bottle - these would be ideal for your hampers xxx

Are you Judith Wenban :rotfl:
She was 'slagged' for being greedy by me personally for hosting a charity event then eating food for free that she expected others to pay a generous amount for and then taking the £15 out. Others had suggested they paid £5 for their food so she could have taken less of her overhead out to make up for it.
She was also 'slagged' by me and others for being so mean as to not heat up a bit of water for her kids (teenagers with hormones & sweat pumping through them) to have a daily shower. I do hope if she had been delivering my babies that she would have had a wash on those days!
i wish i'm a lightweight compared to alot of you guys, dont get a chance to get out as much i'm afraid and don;t have the disposable income to fund it either on such a scale.
point taken about the midwife role - handn't thought of that.:eek: as thought nurses etc were always encouraged to wash after every shift to protect themselves, patient and their own families from cross contaimiation..
Lightweight was tongue in cheek. She's being labelled the 'Coupon Queen' and bragging about what she got on DTD but lets face it, she did well but certainly not as well as some others. Henlans anyone?
what is this henlans everyone is mentioning must be before my time.:)0 -
Well folks, once again I have taken all evening to catch up!
Had a lovely night, hubby took us out for tea, Morrisons (6pounds for all 4 of us inc drinks) then when we came home the local Lions group were doing the rounds with santa on his sleigh, he stops at everyones house, kids put their requests in to him & thank god they matched what they have been bought!! Tiz a really lovely thing they do with a lit up sleigh, playing carols & christmas tunes & he gives all the kids a candy cane. As good as any Santa you'd pay to go see & the money we put in the donation tin goes to fab local charities. Well B Byes time x0 -
