I'm really really sorry about losing your dog Mona Lisa - my heart goes out to you. My beautiful Pooky was my bestest friend & my heart was ripped out when she went- she was everyone's friend  missing her so much & it's been 2 years now & i'm filling up here

I know this sounds weird but I haven't been able to fuss another dog since :( Pooky went.
Today was a turning point. Got a call from my sister to say there was a german shepherd dog behind a fence in her work's car park, could I come & see?
Found a very old matted dog with overgrown nails laying down. Took me a while to win her over & stroke her. It was raining & she was exhausted & frail. Tried ringing RSPCA, friends, dog warden, but no one could help. Ran out of battery & credit (& needed a wee) but I couldn't leave her there. She got into my heart & I was sat on the muddy ground hugging her she leant on me ♥
So I got my shoulder strap of my trusty Kipling bag & used it as a lead. She got up & we slowly set off. Luckily a lovely man & lady & my OH turned up & the man offered to take her in his car to the Vets. She got in & to cut a very long story short. My lovely Vets have taken her in & will contact a local rescue lady to get her.
I've put an appeal on the local radio & on local Facebook lost & found. She is someones pet. I sincerely hope she gets back home or gets a forever home with a good person.
I would of loved to have her but my house is upside down (!) and she couldn't of managed the stairs :(
At least I know she is now safe & has a comfy bed - She was the Sweetest thing ♥

Tinyshoes, did you find the gummies i hid for you?!

    :o:o:o

I'm such an idiot I wrote it all down on a bit of paper and forgot to take it with me but I remembered where the tomatoes were and where the gummies were in the other store! :rotfl:

But all was good as still loads left so they should be where you left them. :D

BTW loads of tomatoes still in stock they had lots on the top shelf too. So I was very pleased to get both types. Thanks for the heads up. :A
  • Well just got my price check results back & according to Mr T, Mr A doesnt sell the cars 2 dvd???!!! or loose brocolli! Im sure they have 'selective' price checking going on! Out of the past 14 receipts Ive had not one has been cheaper at Mr A's & on all of them less than half the items have been checked.

My thoughts exactly, Im struggling to work out the deal as surely you are just laying the money out up front. I can see it being a bit of a bonus if you were buying the item because you need it & are miles away from a Mr A's but otherwise I'm stuggling to see anything to gain. Please can someone enlighten me :)

I posted this last night but you may have missed it.

JTD - I posted somewhere about this last night. Easiest answer is that most people have a Ts close by but not an Asda. I have 3 Ts that are handier than the nearest Asda.

Asda may not have stock so why not buy it at the Asda price at Ts and reduce Ts profits slightly by doing pricecheck.

You also get clubcard points so if you pay £10 in Ts you are getting 10 cc points.

Also handy if you have a conditional spend voucher so what I've done in the past is find the best value nappies in Asda and buy that promo in Ts. For a £5 off £40 for example, in Asda you could have gotten 2 boxes for £20 so 4 for £40. In Ts it might cost you £44 for the same nappies but you'll get the £4 JTD back plus the £5 off that you wouldn't get in Asda so £35 for what would cost you £40 in Asda or £44 in Ts if you don't pricecheck.

It's dark and miserable over here today so unless there's a mega glitch I'm unsure if I can be bothered going out.

As for the price drop booklets, I'd say if the store has the booklets then it's a 'selected store'. I've not seen the leaflets in any of my locals and the one store I did see it in was an Extra. How can they possibly say they don't have the offer if they have the leaflet. Trading Standards anyone?

They never compared any books/cds/dvds, not sure if Asda does for their APG

It was bettybigboobs, I'll give her a PM, she was willing to pay postage if someone could get her one (I know we cant do this) but as its a very big box, the £8 in Tesco added to and P&P would probably have been £15 anyway, so thats a good find for her!:money:

I PMd Bettybb a while ago about them being available on Amazon&Argos at about £16/£17 delivered/ collect but I think someone has already got one for Betty. Posted a few days ago I think?:) Lovecrafting?

Your post brought tears to my eyes too. I really hope that the dog finds her owner or gets re homed. I am really soppy over all animls but esp dogs - you hear of so many animals being dumped at this time of year and unfortunately there are some heartless people who dump their animals when they get old. Know what I would like to do to them.

Oh my god.... whoever dumped that little one, should be strung up..

We lost one of ours in August, and we still miss her dearly...
It's so sad that people feel the need to miss treat dogs but Im afraid its going to be the sign of the times with the recession looming over us.. :(
