We should all meet up in the cafe one day, as there seems to be quite a few of us, we could attack a section each and grab bargains to share!!! Makes it a bit harder to find the bargains when other people are hiding them :rotfl:
I'm really hoping they do another 25% off wine before xmas, but I seriously doubt it.

I dont normally hide stuff but i know tinyshoes has been under a lot of pressure at home and with her mom so i was being kind and thoughtful. Perhaps i should have just brought the lot:D
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.

I know this sounds weird but I haven't been able to fuss another dog since :( Pooky went.
Today was a turning point. Got a call from my sister to say there was a german shepherd dog behind a fence in her work's car park, could I come & see?
Found a very old matted dog with overgrown nails laying down. Took me a while to win her over & stroke her. It was raining & she was exhausted & frail. Tried ringing RSPCA, friends, dog warden, but no one could help. Ran out of battery & credit (& needed a wee) but I couldn't leave her there. She got into my heart & I was sat on the muddy ground hugging her she leant on me ♥
So I got my shoulder strap of my trusty Kipling bag & used it as a lead. She got up & we slowly set off. Luckily a lovely man & lady & my OH turned up & the man offered to take her in his car to the Vets. She got in & to cut a very long story short. My lovely Vets have taken her in & will contact a local rescue lady to get her.
I've put an appeal on the local radio & on local Facebook lost & found. She is someones pet. I sincerely hope she gets back home or gets a forever home with a good person.
I would of loved to have her but my house is upside down (!) and she couldn't of managed the stairs :(
At least I know she is now safe & has a comfy bed - She was the Sweetest thing ♥

Signing off as in tears again

Oh poor thing, at least she's warm and fed now, it could be that she just escaped and ran off, perhaps her owners had just moved and she got lost, either way I hope she is back home or rehomed soon xx
Sunday we went to T@lbot Green where we managed to pick up..

    3 leaf trays
    8 Balloons (4 for a fellow MSE'r and 4 for my DD's 18th party next year)
    10 DM
loads of Pantene and Dover shampoo's and conditioners for a £1 and some just over a £1 each.
    3 laundry basket £1 each
    22 mega lollies for £2.

I bought 3 knives that had 3 4 2 stickers on, but the 3 4 2 didnt come off... so off I went to CS and they refused DTD because the sticker wasnt on all the knives, the knives where all the same, all were bread knives but the sticker was only on 1 knife.. they would only refund the one knife.
Ive phoned CS this morning, Im still waiting to find out where I stand... Has anyone had experience with DTD being refused because the 342 was only on the 1 knife even thought they were all the same???

Would you have the barcode ending for the trays and the laundry baskets please, along with a brief description of what type of laundry basket? I take it that leaf trays are just trays with leaves on?

Re the 3 for 2, it shouldn't matter if there was only a sticker on one knife, if they were the same exact knife then they owe you the 3 for 2, if the packaging was slightly different then they MAY have grounds to refuse but I'd stand my ground anyway!

    Hi everyone,

Little mans birthday party went well but its been crazy hectic round here. Can someone please tell me what I've missed, what is all this about a 3D tv? Is it that one they've had on displays at 499? My DH has been asking for that every time we visit a T! If its going through super cheap, I might just make his christmas!

I think one person tried it last night but no glitch :( SA mentioned there were "some problems" earlier...
    so...

    NO TVs GLITCH!

    Hello :)

Has anyone ever gotten anywhere with complaining about tesco price check?

As they said they couldn't match a product even though I found it on asda's website!!

virtually no chance... one of the T&Cs is they don't "enter into any correspondence" re n/a items... you might try to give them a call if you're desperate though... some people have been sucessfull back then at the beginning of it...

    Morning everyone! :)

Up early this morning waiting for someone to install a phone line for us so we can have proper broadband :o Rainy outside and I was hoping to go cycling in the afternoon(to T of course!:D) but maybe it will get nicer later... I am also hoping for some nice phone calls today :o

Have a lovely day all! :A

Czerchy be careful if you go out on your bike, it blowing a gale here, you'll get blown off:p
Morning all, hard day ahead for me, have to tell my children that their Nan died this morning:(
She was my ex mil but she was still dear to me and of course my children adored her. We knew she did not have long left but I still don't know how they are going to take it. Suppose I just have to be strong for their sakes.

Ps Please don't let my post depress this thread as I love the laughs, jokes and banter so please keep it coming :)

So sorry to hear your sad news, got me all choked up as I've been in that position a few times and know it's really hard.
    Sending you hugs:)

Okay, thanks. I've emailed them and I'll see what happens. But I doubt they will do anything.
  • Oh, morning all. :)

I wasn't having a dig and you could have bought the lot if you so wished...part of being a bargain hunter, whoever gets there first. Although in the spirit of mse I always try to leave some for others. I am always genuinely happy for others when they find a bargain. I was just making a joke. Sorry if I upset you, I never intended to.
