Morning all, hard day ahead for me, have to tell my children that their Nan died this morning:(
She was my ex mil but she was still dear to me and of course my children adored her. We knew she did not have long left but I still don't know how they are going to take it. Suppose I just have to be strong for their sakes.

Ps Please don't let my post depress this thread as I love the laughs, jokes and banter so please keep it coming :)

    Sorry to hear this mh

One did come in the post but it had £5 off a £40 spend. None in store I asked a couple of people they said it might be store specific.

hmmm why is everything store specific lol

you would think up and down country tesco is tesco so should do the same deals, same mags and everything at same time ....

but guess that would be too easy for tesco lol

Just want to confirm that the megga lollies (31p, but 11 for £1) are working in my local express, although they didnt stock the big size wine gummies which are also on the same offer.

Also express had jars of tesco brand mincemeat for 30p! SEL stated 30p! (robinsons jars were £1.31, so both cheaper than the online prices!!) The mincemeat is not with the robinsons, it was on an end isle with other promotions, so worth asking where the home brand is if you dont spot it with the baking things!

  • Sorry to hear your sad news MH, my thoughts r with you n your family, xxx
  • Just wondering...what's the benefit of getting the JTD on the chocolates rather than just buying them for £5 from Asda? I realise it's helpful if there isn't an Asda near you but apart from that there's no benefit is there?
My thoughts exactly, Im struggling to work out the deal as surely you are just laying the money out up front. I can see it being a bit of a bonus if you were buying the item because you need it & are miles away from a Mr A's but otherwise I'm stuggling to see anything to gain. Please can someone enlighten me :)

Hi can't remember who was looking but the best friend Sally dolls are currently £15 at debenhams online if you can't get one at tesco. Also there are discount codes for free delivery and %off over on the discount thread

    Hth x

It was bettybigboobs, I'll give her a PM, she was willing to pay postage if someone could get her one (I know we cant do this) but as its a very big box, the £8 in Tesco added to and P&P would probably have been £15 anyway, so thats a good find for her!:money:
  • Got DM today...scanned at 94p, same barcodes as the ones I got for 34p!!

Re selected stores, I do think that if a store has been displaying these price drop leaflets , then it must follow that that store is participating. Could be leverage if needed

I used that argument but no difference. Just drew my attention to 'selected stores' mentioned at the beginning of the small print on EVERY PAGE!

I'm so sorry to hear this, but don't feel you necessarily have to be strong, sometimes it really helps children to grieve if they see you grieving too (((hugs))) xx

Ah yes, I posted this yesterday, in fact the tesco one is £1.20 online but Robertson's only £1, also there MAY be a hidden 3 for 2 here, so you could get 3 jars each for 20p, sometimes T's are rubbish at putting offer signs up so it might be worth a look?
