Thank you all. it was so scary this morning. Yesterday I took her into the bathroom and ran the shower so the room filled with steam which seemed to help a little just had to be very careful as obviously it got very warm in there and then when we came out it seemed very cold so trying to be careful with her temp but once that is sorted I will do it again
Thanks again its so nice to have support from people I have never met it means a lot that you care without knowing us(If that makes sense?)
Hope the LO gets better soon we all had croup as kids, you can buy something called friars balsam and steam her with that, my nephews get it and its the only thing that really helps xxOn the countdown mortgage will be paid off this year if I keep paying bit extra fingers crossed fully paid out by July :j0 -
Beki - Hope your LO gets better soon... poor little thing.
One thing, im sure my sister had one when she was poorly with croup when she was little... was a plug in thing... kinda like a glade plug in, but lets of some sort of aroma/steam/not quite sure what type of thing, that helps with breathing during the night.
sorry i cant offer much more info on it, but im sure if you ask at the pharmacy, they will know what i am on about. lol.
plus, good old fashioned steam works wonders.n i know its cold atm, but try and cut down on central heating as this can dry the air out and make it worse.... you prob have been told all this already, but wanted to show im thinking bout ya.
keep us updated. xProud Mummy to a new little girl - Phoebe... born 11 days overdue on 3rd Jan 2012.0 -

What an excellent couple of trips to Ts this week. I've managed to get the Chuggingtons (which DS loves btw), 1p Thomas cutlery, 1p Cheeky Monkey car sign, ilooms, 31p de-icer (c0nn$w@ter), 34p DM bars (c0nn$w@ter had the 93p SEL and loads of bars, k'na'g had the SEL but no stock), a 5p wrapping paper, a 15p wrapping paper, 18p Cars stickers and a new one I think:
30p TinkerBell playing cards (found on the same shelf as Uno's) b/c ending 04610 -

I've been lurking on this thread for a couple of weeks now and haven't been brave enough to post until now - but thought it was maybe time to join in a bit! If that's ok? *looks hopeful*
Firstly I just want to say a giant THANK YOU to everyone who posts on here, I'm relatively new to the glitching game but have managed to get a couple of the offers thanks to you guys - otherwise I wouldn't know where to start! I'm now the proud owner of 24 rolls of Plenty kitchen towels, 3 Toy Story Gift Bags, too many to count tins of Branston beans and 2 packs of illooms - which I LOVE!! :T( I did also manage to find what I thought was a 4p item but it scanned as seek assistance)
Also thank you again for a different reason, I have M.E. and have been particularly ill with it lately but every time I come and read this thread it really cheers me up because you are all awesome! So thank you all for brightening up my day!
I'm sorry though because this isn't just a hello, I was actually hoping (because you are all so lovely) that you might be able to help me with some ideas. You see, I recently saw an advert about paying £25 to send a hamper to an elderly person who's not going to receive any presents this christmas and thought what a lovely idea it was and so I've decided to make my own hampers to donate so they have a bit more of a personal feel.
Does anybody please have any ideas for cost-effective things that I could put in the hampers that the elderly people might like?
I'm not well enough to go out at the moment so I'm gathering up all my ideas before I attack the shops with my list in a hunt for bargains lol! TIA
Hi and welcome!
Regarding the elderly person thing, do you have any elderly neighbours? I think some whoopsied food now and again would be a lovely thing to do. Its also more personal that way.
My freezers are rammed and rather than watch some of the greedy families grab the lot at my local tesco, I grab loads and dish it out to my local neighbours and a few friends who help me out with stuff. Plenty of cheap fruit and veg too which is so expensive these days. For an elderly person, the gift of being able to cook a sunday dinner for themselves for next to nothing or even have some lamb chops etc in the week is a true gift.
Its good karma too.
EDIT....Actually I've kicked myself up the bum to do more too! Those greedy families better look out next time I'm in Tesco!0 -

A shocking £15 in T and only £5 in A giving a £10 jtd voucher per box.
Far be it for me to suggest that having obtained a jtd voucher you could take the chocs back to T for a refund...
hi...im just curious..how do you go about this jtds? buy something at Ts and if its more expensive than Mr. As..what happens next...sorry i know this is such a lame question but i really dont know how it works...TIA0 -
Thank you grumpy1daughter will have a look in the chemist for it
also thank you sunshine, we have a plug in thing it has lavender and menthol it's great blinking expensive though but worth it if it helps. Thanks for the tip about the central heating I wasn't sure if I was doing right not having it on today. I mainly kept it off so as not to make her temp up anymore. I should be sleeping really but I feel like i'm waiting for her to wake up. Keep pondering about going to t's. It's only half a mile away but I know my luck I would go she would wake up and OH wouldn't wake up!
Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end0 -

Enter the receipt in Tesco price check (on web), they will price comparison the items you brought to prices at a's, and if t's are more expensive, they will send you an e-mail with a link to a voucher to print in the amount of the price difference.
