Got a couple of the cheeky monkey car things and a few *cough* penny sweets last night. Also found 3 of the tool sets that folks were getting for £1.75, got really excited and put 2 in my trolley but they scanned at £10 :(. This is the same store that I found the value tents which also scanned at full price, both items with correct barcode

Im guessing its an error coz its the same offer as the 16g packets that normally sell at 12p each.

Well this afternoon I managed (with the help of a few multi buys, 1 whoopsie and 3 lots of DTD inc 1 possible GLITCH) to get my £46.85 basket of shopping for £4.89 :D

I'm really not sure that the calculations are right ... I just took my refunds/shopping and left.

    Here's how it went ....

    DTD items

    1. Loyd Grossman - Indian Sauces - Bhuna 350g - OOD SEL £1.99 reduced to £1 - Charged £1.79 (b/c 0233) - bought 3 jars
    2. Branston Original Pickle - 520g - OOD SEL 2 for £2 - Charged £1.68 each (b/c 2130) - bought 2 jars
    3. Elizabeth Shaw - Famous Names "The Signature Collection" (Liqueurs) - I'm sure I saw an OOD Half Price SEL (22/11/11) but CS came back with a BOGOF SEL £6.50 offer ending 24/11/11 (b/c 1198) ... anyhow neither offer kicked in GLITCH??? - bought 3 boxes
My DTD refund was £24.48 ... although I'm not sure how this was arrived and no matter how hard I try I can't get my calculations to match this figure.

Then ... since the offer on the liqueurs was a B1G1F and not half price ... I returned one box and got a further £6.50 refund. Confused but I think I've been refunded too much :o

I love you guys, this site and of course Mr T ... I put the details of this receipt into Tescos Price Checker (first time I've ever used it cos thanks to you guys I've only just discovered it) ... and now I have a £1.03 voucher as well!!:j

On the plus side it does go to show how much more secure modern windows are. Old wooden ones and your pressies would be gone! I hope the insurance sort it quickly for you.
  • Another reason the board looked empty this morning is all the 'french connection' posts seem to have vanished. I guess Sir Brainy is on 'holiday' again for a week or two!
  • I think you shold back off right now! You asked a civil question and was given a civil suggestion. Because you didn't like it, YOU got on your high horse and got all caustic.

Its been lovely around here of late, lets get it back that way.

As for your items, just take them back with the receipt and see what they offer you. They can't refuse you a refund just because you were given DTD as has been said many times on here.

I have just returned the item without receipt and exchanged it for a few different items ! No questions asked !:T

All i did was ask a question and I was insulted by her response ! I have a right to defend myself ! She know nothing of my circumstances or what I was doing . If she had nothing useful to say - she should have said nothing ! It was simple question! ( yes it was a simple response ) but not useful in any manner !

I have read on here lots of people returning things they got DTD - I just wanted to know if I could do it without receipt ! Anyhow I know the answer now !:T

Can't be bothered with arguing - im not the type in person just really felt annoyed that Angelina was judging me when she had no idea of what I was going to be buying !

P.s I got 2 lovely hat scarf and gloves sets and 2 fleece blankets to add to the boxes ! Also managed to get some anticeptic cream and plasters in the reduced section to add also .

Am going to sign off now for a bit - don't know if I can be bothered with this site anymore - there is always some sort backbiting !
I loved being on here as everyone helped each other not judged them for their methods.

It's going to be a quick hello this evening, taken me ages to catch up got myself all in a muddle where I had read up to and had missed a big chunk, just would not have felt right catching up on everyones banter.

So I'm just in time to still wish Baileys a Happy Birthday.
Still have my fingers crossed for you Czerniacha. :)
Well done Nikki 3 more days and it will be 3 weeks. WOW!!! :T
Looks like everyone is feeling quite well as doesn't seem to be any reports of anything going around. ;)

And Happy where are you? Think we are all missing you.

MKS when you get to CL this week, check the Finest Sausages again will you please, can't understand them being full price. And the big bag of BBQ meats too. You wont have to walk far as the scanner is at the end of the aisle they are in. :D And keep an eye out for nuts, lots there I remember, saved some for you. :)

Oh and Pepsi I posted earlier may work out free or very cheap depending whether CS take into account the little discount that is going through instead of BOGOF.

Right it's a Good Night from me I'm afraid, I'm shattered and still have to pop back to my mums tonight yet.

Thanks so much Tinyshoes, that's very kind of you. Unfortunately (?:o), I am off to the airport early tomorrow to go on holiday.:T:T
  • Just wanted to say that I finally managed to get 4 packs of the £1.50 meatballs at a smaller Tescos in Th*n*t which is usually forgotten about by whoever it is who clears the shelves of the big Extra at Westwood. Lots left of the shelf as well.

I have had a go at the quiz as well - thanks to the OP for putting this up as I love quizzes and will now try to join in every day if I can!

Got my price drop magazine and just doing a bit of investigative research.

The mag says on the front cover that all offers are valid til 4th December but...

Mcvities temptations are not valid til then:

Mcvities Temptations Chocolate And Mint Digestive Slices
    £1.00 (£0.17/each)

    Half Price Was £2.00 ...
    valid until 29/11/2011
