Has anyone ever returned an item without a receipt? I got DTD on the UNO cards yesterday and was going to return them to a different store for an exchange? The SA wrote all over receipt that i got £29.++ so can't really produce receipt ?

As you got paid to take them away, can't you just donate them to a charity? It seems a little greedy to want more when you have already been reimbursed more than you paid?

I would like to know the answer to this as well.
I have something I got DTD one, but didn't get it totally free, and it's damaged. Wonder if they will refund it without a receipt?

Also has everyone seen the Grabbit topic about sleeping bags at Tesco direct. Snapped one for my break on night shifts!

Would just like to leave it at that too - I only asked a civil question. We are all on here to bag as many bargains from Tesco as we can. If I can get free stuff for kids without it costing me money then I'll give it a whirl. Everyone has their own level of morals - I can live with myself for doing this ? Im not stealing ! Im exchanging !

    Hi,

Can someone help me please? My sister says that she gives her vouchers to her daughter in law to exchange. My daughter has £3 worth which I was going to use with my order which it accepted but then I noticed that it does say you can only use vouchers linked to your club card. I don't know if I should delete it.
    Thanks

You have no need to explain yourself. I was simply pointing out that once you have received more than you paid, it would be nice to send the item to a charity rather than try to get even more money back.

Why do you feel the need to go to a different store and not take in your receipt? Surely there is your answer as to whether its ok to do this.

Oh and for your information, I do donate stuff to charity. I have a box of things here ready to go out, some to the childrens cancer shop and some that i'm trying to find a good shoe box charity for as they are small in size and I think they would be useful.

Tesco have given lots of us stuff that we probably couldn't afford otherwise and i'm grateful for it, I just don't want to take the p!!s

I have. They are normally quite good and allow an exchange within the same department, so in your case it would be toys.
The other option if you paid by debit/credit card is to print a copy of the transaction and you should be able to get a full refund using this (I have done that too).
Otherwise you could tell the store you brought them from that you lost the receipt and as they are going to be xmas gifts could they give you a re-print (might want to do this when a different sa to the one who gave you your DTD is on cs though)
