anyone have any tips on getting rid of black Gloss paint from walls?? - is it gonna be a case of painting over a gazzillion times, or will i have to wallpaper over it all???? -
i know its off topic, but thought as everyone is getting on so well again, i felt comfy enough to ask. :) - Plus i always ask random questions, you all should be used to it by now. xx

When I decorated my bedroom I took off the wallpaper and the walls were painted in barbie pink gloss!!! I tried loads of things, sanding gave the best results but ending up getting lining paper then painting that

Lining paper all day long, you can get that blockout paint, but it never works with just one coat, well it didnt for me and it's expensive. Cheaper to line the walls:)

Got 2 packs of Travelling Vac Pac Bags SEL £2.00 scanned at 50p each :) B/C 10753

Looked for dairy milk with striped wrapper, lots of Dairy milk on the shelf with spotty wrappers :( until they too scanned at 34p :T

Toy story bags still scanning at 1p

Toilet rolls 2 for £3.50 but got charged £4 so £1 refunded with DTD

Scotch tape refills still advertised as half price £2 but charged £4 each, got 3 of these so £12 refunded with DTD, free tape :T

No bargain blue and white camera cases but got pink and white one as i needed a new case SEL said reduced to £6.97 but scanned at £9.97 so £6 DTD and case for £3.97 (not 20p i know but case is more girlie, not so sure my husband will want to carry the camera now though)

HTH, did not need to ask for DTD and think i would have been too shy to ask, so really pleased the CS lady was so lovely :j

  • Thanks all - Can you just paint on the lining paper then though? its just, lining paper seems a bit 'rough'. so when i paint it, will it still give a nice finish? - i dont mean a shiny gloss finish... lol. just a nice finish.. hope you know what i mean. x x
