    Hiya,

Sorry, just got to post on this. Adopt a squaddie are not authorised by the MOD. If you want to send parcels, please check out www.supportoursoldiers.co.uk, who are a registered charity, and authorised by the MOD

    Thanks :) xx
Thanks for this Bailey, there is a section on this page about save our soliders stamp appeal and with the amount of stamps people are going to get via Xmas cards this year we can all try and save them and send them off. Strangely enough I have a pile of used stamps lying around the house, I'm sure just about every other charity did collect them at one point but not so anymore.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

Not saying anymore on the matter lol, same as I havnt replied to the comment for me previously. Don't want to be blamed for starting bun fights and arguing, I'll leave that to others. I'm here for the bargains, if anybody wants me to help with any questions relating to my experience of the military life then I will help as much as I can. BUT ruxpin, yes I do think your irresponsible for sending alcohol.:rotfl:
I genuinely mean that I appreciate you letting us know that perhaps its not the best out there. It wasn't meant to be a dig, my comment about it hurting when you bit your tongue was meant to be sort of tongue in cheek not to have a go. At the end of the day (hate that saying its very Jeremy Kyle-esque) I wouldn't have known without you saying so, and I would much rather other people be put straight too :)
I mainly posted the link for that list as opposed to getting people to register though.

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

I never thought of going to that Metro, but with no football for a couple of weeks I wouldn't be going in that direction, I'm so rubbish at finding things I can't justify the petrol.

Is the scanner upstairs working yet ?

no! I tried to scan 3 things and all was "contact a member of stuff"

we had nothing else to do today anyway as we're having new floors getting done and the flat is a mess :( I spent two hours this morning moving all stuff from the bedroom AND the wardrobe to the bathroom! only to see this afternoon that it was not needed as they didn't do the bedroom today! so we had to move it to the living room again to be able to use the bathroom tonight... :( I hope they'll finish tomorrow and I can have a nice tidy place again...

And re the petrol: I usually have a dtd ot two each week and most are goldies so T pays for the petrol ;)

Baileys; Hope your OH returns home nice and safley hun :)x

    Celebrate; Thinking of you, x

Nikilala; great party pics! It's my 18th two days before christmas, plenty of time to stock up on more glitches... i'll be round on the 22nd ready for my party ;)?

Czerch (sp?! :rotfl:); well done on your haul today:) i like the training of your bf! I've not told mine about mse! :rotfl:He thinks his lynx, 1p sweetes, DM, 1p sausage rolls and my stories of Tesco's are all just coincidences ;);)

Anyhowwww :D Me and mum have done our good deeds today :)!

We finally found two epliators! (all dusty from the old electrical sale thingy) Took them to the pharmacy for a pricecheck and she double taked the screen when it said £7.20. She then rushed round to see if there was anymore. She was really nice about it, so we took her to the shelf but there was no more, she was so disspointed:( We was going to give one of ours to my aunty but the pharmasist just looked so disspointed - we donated it to her:A She wouldnt take it at first, so we went back 10 minutes later and insisted she took it:):)

We also found the bug raincoats and the itng aquadoodles the other night and my mum gave one of each to her friend at work, and i'm giving one of each to my bestfriends nephew :)

    - hopefully karma will come back around:)...we also got the barbie braclet things from ages ago for 20p each, an innocent dtd on a pack of 10 fineliners with a £2.00 sel which scanned at £4.38, and a few other things i can't remember :) but overall a good day,

    x

I've always wondered what do they use the stamps for? Does anyone know? Thanks.

Ever wondered what happens to used stamps?

They are sorted:-Damaged ones are removed.

Trimmed if necessary.Sorted into Uk or overseas stamps.

Graded according to the franking, lightly or unfranked.

    The backing paper maybe removed.

Uk stamps are sorted either into 1st, 2nd or mixed bags.

Packed into bags and sold to dealers or even on EBay.

On average a kilo bag will fetch £3. More unusual stamps fetching more.

    Instructions for collecting stamps:-

Leave approximately 1cm of the envelope around the stamp.

    Separate into UK and overseas.

Place in a bag and add your name and address.

Package and sent to your chosen charity.
