[QUOTE=Bettybigboobs;4869420
Now I must mention the lady who sent alcohol to her fella who was fighting in a war zone, in charge of a gun, and was protecting the !!!! of his fellow comrades. Utter madness. Unless he's a alcoholic, and if he was he wouldn't of been deployed, then we can all live without a drink for the duration of a tour. Why risk it? We have rules, briefings and what not to protect our lads and lasses, and if anything was to happen to him whilst under the influence, then you only have yourself to blame, harsh, but you were the one sending it.
Now artha, any bargains todayxx[/QUOTE]
I am the lady who sent alcohol to my OH, I want to reassure you that he was responsible enough to wait until he was stood down at Bastion before he consumed the alcohol. Therefore none of his comrades were put at any risk! In fact he shared the box of wine with the other lads so they all had a glass each to toast his birthday.
When they are at Bastion all guns are kept in the weaponary so no chance of any accidents whilst under the influence. I don't believe he took any risk and I don't think I did by sending it as he is definately not an alcoholic! Also I sent magazines with naked. Women to him and the other lads, I must be completely irresponsible!0 -

I Think BBB was the same as me, in that its a lovely thought from you, but unfortunately these guys are maybes not the best people to go with.
They provide squaddies details, address etc to anyone that asks, without any checks, which is SCARY!!! lol
There are 4 charities that do the boxes at Xmas, 3 who do it year round, and I know Supportoursoldiers.co.uk, the co ordinaters are CRB checked etc etc etc
Thanks again for the kindness xx0 -
