  • sending details without checks is a bit scarey to be honest, I am having a look at the site you linked me to and will go with that one, I would prefer to do something during the year not just at christmas we used to have a loveley friend, knew him before he joined the army. he is american and was deployed to iraq when it all kicked off. he was terrified but knew he had to do what he had to do. some of the things we sent we didnt even realise how much they were appreciated, silly things like hand moisturiser and those little de oderants you get in t's for less than a pound. some of the letters he sent back were heartbreaking, he sent a loveley little bear to the kids before he passed it had hello from the base he was on on there tummies. the other day on granada news it showed a little knitting shop that were making hats for the boys and both DH and i commented on how it would be nice to do something like that.omg im rambling again, *goes for a cheese butty*

thank you for posting this. this is exactly the kind of thing i was looking for. we are now looking into adopting a squaddie.
    Hiya,

Sorry, just got to post on this. Adopt a squaddie are not authorised by the MOD. If you want to send parcels, please check out www.supportoursoldiers.co.uk, who are a registered charity, and authorised by the MOD

    Thanks :) xx
Lol Bailey, I've been biting my tongue and fingers since it was posted.....
Sorry I never knew, it was a few months ago I did it, my squaddie's tour ended and I didn't sign up to anyone else.
It says on their website "We are registered as a delivery partner with the MOD" so I assumed it was all legit. I would have rather someone said it than sit biting their tongue...must have hurt ;)

In other news, we are insured :D
Managed to get it for just under 170 a month which is better then 250 lol

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)

Not saying anymore on the matter lol, same as I havnt replied to the comment for me previously. Don't want to be blamed for starting bun fights and arguing, I'll leave that to others. I'm here for the bargains, if anybody wants me to help with any questions relating to my experience of the military life then I will help as much as I can. BUT ruxpin, yes I do think your irresponsible for sending alcohol.:rotfl:
    If it ain't reduced, i don't buy it! :j

I never thought of going to that Metro, but with no football for a couple of weeks I wouldn't be going in that direction, I'm so rubbish at finding things I can't justify the petrol.

Is the scanner upstairs working yet ?
