npower has now sent me 4 bills in a row all of them wrong.
when will they learn.
after all its not rocket science
check your bills if you are with them as I'm sure its not just me.
if you are on a primary and secondary rate tariff they are supposed to charge the fist 2kwh for each day at the primary rate and the rest at the secondary rate.
my bill had a lot more units at the primary rate than this.
then when they had a price change they charged me most of the units at the higher price IE: say the bill was over 100 days and the price change was on day 50
and i had used 1000kwh then the bill should have been 500kwh at old price and 500kwh at new price.
but not npower oh no that's to simple for them i get charged 25% at old price and 75% at new higher price
then how can you have on last 2 bills 70655 actual reading 27/09/10
then on new bill 70665 actual reading for 27/09/10 ? explain that one
also on my last 2 bills it shows that i changed from sol 16 to sol 20 on the 19/12/10 this was when i did change.
but on new bill it says i changed from Sol 16 to sol 20 on 02/08/11 this alone put another £45.98 on to my bill

what is going on at npower i think they need to get things sorted out soon
so if you are with them please check your bills

  • Utility companies have all signed up to a Code of Practice which says they need to provide regular, accurate and easy to read bills. As your bills are none of these, write to their complaints team and threaten to take it up with the ombudsman if they don't come back with a suitable offer to cover the distress caused to you within 14 days. I just did the same with British Gas and got a £645 bill down to £45. Good luck!

    thanks for the reply

i have told them many time that i will go to the ombudsman but i need to go through their complaint proceedure first so i have done this and my complaints have been going on since september about 30 emails and about 10 phone calls hence the last 4 amended bills.
i have told them that i am recording the calls for possible legal action and i want a manager to call me with a full explanation
after being told many times that this would not happen again.
i also do not want to just recieve another amended bill as every time it is wrong.
i want to no why this is hapening.
i should not need to spend hours checking them
if i did this i would expect to be out of business
i have kept all the bills and recordings and emails so no excuse for them to try and worm their way out of it.
as i said ive only got an o level in maths and if i can work it out then why can they not. its not rocket science is it
maybe they should employ me to do their bills and scrap their £20000 computer system or what ever it cost them
im like a dog with a bone on this issue and i will not let it go
in fact i speak to them that often im thinking of inviting them to my christmas doo:rotfl:
  • bet you £1 that npower rep will not comment on this
  • npower reduced my DD last month twice in two weeks now today put it up again
think another Email is going to be winging its way to them
they will get board before i will.

the second email with the bill ive done is a little bit better lay out
  • just has a call from npower and the call started with (this call is going to be recorded)
so i said ok good im am also going to record the call as well,
and she said that she would not allow me to record it and the call ended there.
why is it ok for them to record me but not ok for me to record them ?
i told her that all calls to me had to be recorded or sent by letter or email so that i could prove what was said
    what is wrong with that?
