Is Carphone Warehouse playing silly again?
I sent in my final cashback claim on an O2 Carphone warehouse deal. The other claims have been paid without problem. This time I was told that the cheque would be issued but it never arrived. A letter of complaint simply produced an acknowledgement that my claim had been received. They can have 14 days, then an LBA. O2 and carphone seem to have parted company, and there may be little incentive to run the system properly during wind-down. On the other hand, the post is not always reliable and it may be a one-off.
Has anyone else had this problem recently?

See the current thread on Mobiles.co - all part of the same company and there are lots of problems.0

When? They still O2 deals on offer.
Cheque can take upto 38 days with them according to their web sites. There is a message on the mobile.co site which indicates they have delays of 2 weeks with cashback cheques.0 -
MJ: thanks for the pointer.
OaD: there was a very close tie up in which CPW administered and billed O2 contracts (rather than just selling). The upgrade advisor muttered about that deal being ended and O2 running the database without CPW.0 -

They've told people that many times for a few years now, apparently - I'm surpised that they still have some kind of tie-in. They used to actually operate their own O2 as you probably know.
In any case, whether O2 is in some kind of sharing relationship with cpw should have absolutely no bearing on the cashback; that is solely down to cpw, as it is with other networks they deal with. The problems with Mobiles.co go across networks other than O2, so the two things are definitely not linked. Cheques for all cpw clones are sent from cpw.0
