Hi all,
our oven has recently stopped working, so i called the letting agent and told him, he contacted the landlord (who is his uncle) but then contacted us back to say that they cannot fix the oven because the house was unfurnished when we moved in.
when we actually moved in the oven was there in the house and belongs to the landlord so i am under the impression the letting agent and the landlord are trying to pull a fast one so they dont have to pay for the oven repair or replacement? am i right in saying they have to repair the over or get a replacement ??? also there is damp in the house coming from the bathroom into the livingroom, the bathroom is old and abit of a botch job is the landlord ment to fix/replace this aswel ?? (i havnt told him about the damp yet)
thanks any help would be great

tell him about the damp asap otherwise you will end up getting the blame for it.Nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. - Alex Supertramp0

he knew about the damp when we first moved in, he said to knock out the old plaster and re-plasted it, so i did that but the damp has come back. i only plastered it as a goodwill gesture because it was no hassle at the time, but now i feel as thou hes taking me for a fool and i want the job done properly!!0 -

You were "sold" a flat with a working cooker, that's what you are entitled to, its the landlords responsibility.0
