  • The cheapest. Usually Tesco value or Daisy brand. If I go to Aldi's then the Magnum ones.

I'd double check that your dishwasher manual says you can run it without salt and rinse aid. Mine is quite specific that they still must be used even if using an "all in one tablet" and touchwood nearly 10 years down the line I've had no probelms with it by doing this. For what the machine cost I'd rather pay the extra pennies to add them.
  • Hey savingmonkey, i work at the co-op. The dishwasher tablets you are talking about are coming back soon, all our own brand washing liquids were not available for a while due to the supplier pulling out (same as the dishwasher tabs in question). The washing liquid has now returned and weve been told the rest of the range including the dishwasher tablets should be back soon too to my understanding.

we dont put rinse aid in the d/washer now and the pots etc come out clean but maybe we need to start using the rinse aid again.

Great. Thank you very much for letting me know, they didn't have a clue in my store, Now I just need it to be on Bogoff when it is restocked!

Checked our manual and its fine to not use rinse and salt with the all in one tablets.

It depends on how hard the water is in your area.

Our dishwasher 'man' told us that for our area we should still add salt etc. even when using the all in ones.

I swear by the Quantum ones - when I bought a bag of Fairy recently I thought my dishwasher wasn't working properly, then I realised I wasn't using Quantum.
  • I bought 15kg off Ebay for just over 9 pounds, they are
broken mixed ones, work just fine though, just put in
    search on there :)
  • I use whatever has been on offer, I used to use liquid in my old dishwasher because sometimes the door would stick and the tablet wouldnt come out...

After reading this I am going to try the Tesco value ones. I do use Rinse Aid but its one I got from Wilkos but I dont use salt, water here isnt hard
