Just been looking at my bills. Winter ones are obviously higher but as we pay by direct debit monthly I am not too worried about winter bills being more. They seem to average out at £120 a quarter for gas and £140 for electric. As we work gas central heating is usually off in the day. Electric a little high but we have 2pcs on all evening, tv, and cook by electric...also leave lights on everywhere ...oh and of course fish tank.

Freezer now filled with stuff I took out when defrosting...will do some batch baking next week to fill the other baskets.
OH rang and he's bringing fish and chips home with him when he comes.
Now off upstairs to do the other things on my list
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

    Hiya, hope everyone's ok,
i've just waxed out dining room table and it's come up so nicely. It cost me £5 from ebay and is 6 foot by 3. We've had it a while but I had a spare 15 mins and it looks fab. Apart from that i've just tidied little bits as and when and the place doesn't look too bad if I say so myself.

Just off to put another wash on and then my parents are taking us out for a curry. Not been out for a meal for ages so looking forward to it. DS will only eat rice a popadoms but that's fine.

Hope your daughter is ok now Moggins.

Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!
  • Moggins - Hope your dd is feeling better.

Both my two are ill at the moment. DD has been off nursery all week and is really suffering. DS has been leaking pure evil from both ends all day today. I've also been ill so i'm just counting the seconds till hubby gets home.

I had to go into town today but of course there was some accident in town involving a bus and i had to wait for ages in a massive bus queue.

Guilty conscience finally got the better of me this morning, and so I did a stint in the bedroom, and cleared another corner. Two bags of books to charity shop this afternoon, few bits in the bin, and decided to get a valuation on the stamp collection my father passed on to me years ago, and which has been festering in the corner ever since.

Then a trip downtown as a treat, booked a mini makeover in Boots for DD and me tomorrow morning (early, as there's less chance that she'll be seen without make-up by anyone she knows! ;) ), bought some bits in Boots, but nerve failed me on some of the bargains I'd been reading about earlier! Then went and tried on some jeans in M&S, and bought myself a pair, which turned out to be £5 cheaper than I thought.:D

Washing still drying, and uniforms to go in soon, dinner cooking. Will do some paperwork this evening. I have two lots of bank statements to do, and may do the January accounts if I have a big enough glass of wine!:D I also want to file all the papers from my course.

moggins Hope that DD recovering well.
