Am suffering from serious MSE withdrawal symptoms! The stupid builders at the end of our road cut our phone lines, and BT still haven't fixed the problem. I haven't been online since Monday, and have been missing the daily tasks and chat! Have resorted to spending the last hour in the university library trying to catch up on everything I have missed, including pigsback and reading my emails (11 of them).

Anyway, rant over. I'm really sorry to hear about your puddycat. I had to have my cat put down when I was 13, and I'd grown up with him. It took me months to get over it, and then the cat we rescued after him got run over. It's an awful feeling isn't it? I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to my current cat - he's like my child as I don't yet have any. I will be thinking of you tomorrow, and sending lots of hugs your way. :grouphug:

If you don't hear from me for a while, it is because I'm still not back online, but hope to be back soon to catch up with everyone. Fingers crossed that it is fixed before tomorrow so I can get the next task, as I have the day off uni tomorrow, so my day for housework.

    Take care everyone.

Day not getting better, arrived back with shopping to find message on ansaphone that DS1 bunked a lesson this morning. Just when I thought he had got the message about sorting himself out, and after his teachers were so nice yesterday evening...

((((LJD1)))) I'm really sorry. Puts my day into perspective.

    Thanks everyone.

    afternoon all

sounds like a bit of a day for some of you. hugs to you all

i've not done any flying yet, except for the dailies. had an assembly at 8.20am (not early for you lot but it is for me - especially to entertain 200 16 year olds!), and was really mad as by the time the teachers had brought them in and done the notices i ony had about 3 minutes, then i got stuck in traffic on the way back. oh well, could be worse!

have defragged pc, meant to be doing expenses, but have sent the form to OH as for some reason they've given it in word not excel - i like it when it maginally adds up for me! OH is a whizz on excel so should sort it out! guess i should do something else while i'm waiting - i know, i'll hit the hotspot which is only 2 feet away :)

Huge huge huge hugs to LJD1.. Kitty heaven is the very very best place, nothing but mice to chase and warm radiators to lay under and warm sunshine to roll about in! All thoe wonderful memories you will get to treasure and all those wonderful times you have given him, keep them safe, hug him lots and let those tears flow. I cried more when my cat died than I did when certain members of my family died. I was too chicken to take my old mog when her kidneys packed up overnight, I sent her with DH, I told her how much she was loved and would be missed *cry* and that we would always remember her because she was wonderful.. she was the most grumpy beast ever, but she was ours. I'm sure IF your son does need the op. it will be for his benefit, and don't worry about it until you know for certain... and then I'll tell you not to worry because you can't change it but look forward to all the things that will be easier for him once he has had it done!

Love and hugs also to Serena, Keep faith, something will turn up.. and it will be all the more appreciated when it does. Keep smiling Petal, It'll work itself out!

Wednesday it would seem is my slacking off day.. I am tired and fed up and bored and miserable, so nothing gets done.

I've kept up on the kitchen, that is to say it hasn't got worse! .. is that a bonus?

I'll be back on track tomorrow I think.. I just have a blinding headache again today. I have picked up the washing in the boys room and made DD2 bring hers down off the landing so something was done!

Today I need a 'must try harder' sticker!

  • Afternoon everyone

Pigpen - Thanks for the pick-me-up poem

(((Serena))) (((LJD1))) and (((anyone else that needs a hug)))

I don't feel like I've really got going today - the jobs have been done but I've pottered along not really getting stuck in.

    So far:
Got the 2 little ones up, dressed, fed, took one to school (then remembered to fetch her back @3pm)
    WM x2
    TD x2
DW emptied and started to refill
SC on for Sausage Casserole tonight

Cleaned the kitchen (all of it including the cobwebs:eek: ) - ds was playing fire engines on the sofa in the kitchen so I thought I might as well clean and be able to keep an eye on him!

Moggins I did the Dining Room yesterday as it's part of my Lounge.
The computer desk really needs doing - declutter, dust and while you are working run defrag on the computer I could do with fling boogying here as well. Must get my @rse into gear!!

I really could do with putting away all the clean clothes in the washing basket - perhaps I'll take them up when I take the littlies for their bath, DH is usually home by then.

    LJD1 bighug.gif to you too.

Sounds like everyone is having a lousey day.

I've done all the hoovering, dusted Hall/stairs/landing and followed through into the bedrooms as I figured I might as well while I was there..Me today : windows.gifvacuum.gif

Also managed to get 3 loads of washing through the machine :D Just the masterbedding to do tomorrow and then Friday night it will be uniforms  Dishes are washed (well all but 3 as they are in soaking) and I'm pondering what to make for tea as I'm really not in the mood for lasagne or bolognese of any sort  I might get some sausage out of the freezer and have sausage sandwiches

The planned walk tomorrow to take cousin to her nans has been cancelled...she was supposed to go bowling last Saturday with a friend but didn't so she's going tomorrow night instead  Saves me the 30 minute walk each way ;)

Dreading OH coming in with the bill from Kwik Fit. Hopefully he should be on the train home by now but he won't be in until 6ish  THIS is why we have a car...he finished at 4.26pm and won't be in until 6pm plus it's cost him about £8 in train/bus fare :silenced: I think it worked out about £100 more expensive to have the car JUST for work related travel, not to mention all the trips to see family (£30 minimum on the train and no "day trips") and then days out ;) so it has worked out cheaper...except for repairs to the car

Right, best get off here and go find the smaller bag of sausages. Later

LJD1 and Serena hugs go out to you both

I'm not doing very well at all today, but I'm in shock, when I went out DP cleaned the LR floor! I was really pleased as it's one less thing for me to do. I got side tracked this morning with a friend who needed advice because of relationship problems, couldn't just ignore her.

BM is on, kitchen needs tidying again as I've just made dinner etc, allowing that to settle then cracking on with the rest. DP is taking DS1 swimming, DS2 is in a paddy because he can't go, but like I said he's been poorly! Still got more laundry to put away as drier is on again now.
One day I might be more organised...........

Didnt get round to sorting out the bedroom as Id hoped - but then again, its probably gonna be tomorrows task! This thread is such wonderful help and support. There are a lot of very good and kind people out there, and sometimes we dont realise it. But this thread shines a light through the uglyness that can often overwhelm us all.

Thankyou to all my virtual friends. Many many thanks to those Ive already met, and to those Ive yet to meet.

Remember - Strangers are just friends we havent met yet.
