On those consumption figures you should consider switching to Ebico.Your electricity usage is so low as to be unbelievable. 3kw per day? That's little more than £110 per year-£2 a week.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I can believe it too since my average over a year is just over 4 per day, the difference between the OP and me being that I'm in most of the day...
My gas is with Ebico and my electricity with NPower. I can live with the deferred discount and monthly DD for the electricity since my usage is fairly constant but I much prefer to pay for the gas I've actually use quarterly... I just budget for it and at least the money is in my account until needed rather than the utility company'sLast time I checked, switching my gas from Ebico would save me less than £20 a year and would mean a compulsory monthly DD so I'd rather leave it as it is!

Thank you for the advice, much appreciated. I am tied in at the moment, and am not sure whether in September next year I will move to do an industrial placement year elsewhere in the country. Hence, I don't want to get tied in with anyone else either anyhow.
I do have one more question. Does anybody know if the direct debit discount will be discounted on my final bill, if I terminate my contract a year to the day it started, or do I only qualify when my 12th direct debit goes out (I didn't have a payment go out till late October). If I get a placement, I'll be renting out the house to a family/couple before I can qualify for a discount, but it's not worth keeping the house empty for just £100 (as rent would bring in so much more money).0
