Thomsons is fine when you get the AI included, without the package they do tend to be a little pricy during the season.

Last year there were some great redsea prices

£800ish is also ok for 2 weeks AI with flights transfers grats. etc.
  • All booked - thank you for your help! Ended up with P&O cruise for week as best deal. Not AI but had 20% off and free regional flights. Offer on until 30th Nov.
  • Many people having the same experience would like to help. For example, while travelling in China, you can visit askchinatour.com you will receive many good suggestions. Good luck!

Ports-of-call are Alanya, Alexandria, Port Said, and Ashdod.
Not surprising you got a good deal!

It's all kicking off in Egypt again and Ashdod is where the Palestinians are firing rockets into these days, is it not? All it will take is for the Turks & Cypriots to start again over Cyprus and you'll have a triple whammy.

Hope you are fully insured. I look forward to your report from the front line ;)

If you're so clever, how come they caught you out once?;)

Made the mistake of listening to advice from people who said it was great, and before the BBC Watchdog advice.
Didn't cost much but it was still hell at sea, never again for sure.

Aye, the world's a crazy place.
It it ain't trouble and strife, then it's an act of God.
I'm quite relaxed about it, and wouldn't be surprised if the ports-of-call were changed.
  • Canaries Cruise Deal

Just had an Email from Vivavoyage telling me of a cruise bargin. Maybe of interest to you.

Return flight - Gatwick to Barcelona / 1 night 4star Hotel / 9 night Canary cruise NCL Jade - from £479pp Price for all January sailings, slightly more for February

Seems a good deal for winter sun avoiding the Bay of Biscay, it cost me more than that for a week in a crap hotel in Tenerife last year.

cruisenation offering 2night in BCN for same price.

Cruise only is £340 and ba flights £115 budget airlines cheaper.
With BA heathrow you can fly our same day there are enough flight to take the risk, use some of the saving to ugrade travel insurnace to cover flight issues.
  • Seen same Fly/Cruise 3nt Half board Lloret followed by 9nt Canary cruise with Gatwick flgt for £479 with NCL. (Cruisenation)
Never been with them but have a feeling that they are similiar to Thomson cruises, having read a lot of negative feedback on Cruise Critic. - worthy of consideration if it is your 1st Cruise.
I will stick with HAL, Princess or Celebrity - I know what to expect from them.

NCl is fine even for seasoned cruisers currently offering good value for a winter getaway.

A little different to the main stream but then most of them have been copying NCL with anytime dining and installing extra eat options, so they(NCL) must be doing something right.

The Main dinning room is getting cutbacks but I have seen this on RCI and Celebrity.

Stick $100 on your budget and eat in the alternatives a few times, the new Moderno Brazilian steak house should be great if it follows the Epic standards, we find out in <4 weeks, picked up a Xmas cruise for £410(ocean view) + flight.

Anyone that does pick an NCL cruise seek out the Meet and Greet on the Cruise Critic roll call, NCL are the best at doing these.
