Is this the best deal on SE 850i?

The Link are offering the Sony Ericsson 850i free on an 18mth contract with Orange, with 17 months half-price line rental via cashback - so it's £17.50 for 17 months.

Couple of tariffs available - this one looks like it would suit me best:

Racoon 35
18 mths 500 anytime any network + 250 landline + 200 texts

Is this a good deal? Can't find any better. I assume the 250 landline means simply calls made from mobile to landline at any time? What'sTheLink like for cashback anyway?

First of all, go through Quidco to receive a cashback, received mine after 6 weeks. Secondly you can get free Broadband with that Tariff. Thirdly, no idea what there like for cashback as have not sent any claim forms in yet, only had the phone 2 months!! From what I read before I ordered, no one seemed to have a problem with them.

Looks a good deal but how do you go about claiming your cashback?

Had a look, don't see anything remotely approaching the value of the deal I posted above.

HOwever after 18 months you have spent 332.50 less quidco plus sell the handset for say 75 quid means still over 200 quid out of pocket wheras I prefer to get my phone and minutes for as little as possible say 200 less quidco plus sell for 100 so only 65 for the year. The free (capped) broadband is good but I'm not sure anyone has confirmed you can get this and cashback?

I've been with the Link for nearly a year. They have been very good. The cashback has been very straightforward - 3 installments. I'm just sending off my 3rd for the 12th month of contract, and expect no problems. In fact my first claim was missing receipts of purchase, but they allowed me extra time to get replacements. Definitely the best experience with cashback so far.

Firstly... you can sell these phones for a LOT more than 75 quid as you say and secondly... Yes you can get broadband for free as i have telephoned Orange to confirm this!

I need a new broadband ISP and i was paying my previous ISP 14 pounds a month just for the broadband alone.

So just for a few quid extra i,ll be getting a lot more!
