Orange Mobile Phone Contract

Hi

Please help!!! I have been trying to cancel my orange mobile phone contract sice 1st Sept and have still been unable to do so. We took out a 24 month contract which was due to end 1st sept. we no longer have these phones and are not using this contract as we took out new ones with another company on 31st Aug as as far as we were concerned our orange one was going to be over.

However, when we first tried to cancel they said we were not due to cancel until end of november due upgrading early on our last contract which made it a 26 month contract and not a 24 month which we were not aware of.

We wrote them another letter to say that the direct debit had been cancelled and we wished to cancel the contract with immediate effect and asked for a bill to pay off the remaining months.

This has still not been done and we are being told we can not cancel?? Is this right??? I feel completely let down and ripped off tbh! We were on orange for the last 6 years and this is what you get!!!

Sorry to have a bit of a rant but if anyone can shed some light on this id be very grateful.

Well they are right that if you upgrade early the remaining time on the old contract is added to the new one.
And at the end of the 12/24 ect months, the contract doesn't end you just reach the minimum term. You still have to give 30 days notice to end.

I can't see why they won't give you a price to end? It 'should' just be a matter of calling the billing dept and asked for a figure?
