Limiting mobile broadband contracts

I work for a small charity and as part of a project we are working on we are looking at supplying mobile boradband USB dongles to a number of hospitals.

Does anyone know of any contracts which will alow you to limit the usage? e.g. once the inital data amount is used no more can be used untill the following month, in stead of being charage so much per mb over the allowance.

I have looked on the support tapges of Three, Orange, Vodafone, ect. and cant find anything about this, just the extra costs that you will be charage per mb.

Not really bothered which network we go with and looking at about £15 per month, 5gig of data per month.

You can buy 3GB Mobile Broadband preloaded Three data sim cards for £11ish:

  • Thanks grumbler, that could be an option. This would require sending out a new SIM card every month wouldnt it?

Anyone know of any other options which would not requite a new SIM all the time?

You could start off as suggested with a 3GB preloaded sim, but then register a top up payment card via My3. Just recharge the account remotely when it's time to stack it up with more data.
  • Three will allow your usage to be capped so if you use all the data it simply cuts off

1 month rolling deal is 5GB for £15.99

    or 24 months is 15GB for £15.99

I thought I heard that they would do this, but can't find any mention of it on their web site, just about the extra charges.
