Cold water pressure - i am guessing its good - i have never noticed it being an issue - so i guess its ok.

Well FWIW, for a flat, I would suggest a combi, and ditch the hot and cold water tanks.

Get a quote, see what you learn, refine the spec with another couple of quotes, if necessary revisting the first quote. Not sure whether "free-issue" radiators will be problem, anyway who sized the radiators?

The choice of boiler brand and model is much harder. TBH you will find each installer has their favourite (or which brand is on special offer at the merchants:D). I hope they suggest a good mid-market brand such as Worcester Bosch or Vaillant who have their own service organisations. Personally I have found Vokera to be very reliable but not so commonly quoted for. There are good extended warranty deals if you look around.
