Oooh I havnt been there yet. Might pop down next week. Is it better than Taylors (I though Taylors was quite rubbish).
I agree Taylors was full of tat. This is same chain as Home Bargains were you can pick up some great stuff cheap.

This morning I bought an Atmosfear khufu DVD Board Game for £2.99, they are rrp £24.99 but you can get them in Woollies for £11.99

Also a Brain Box Electronics kit which lets them learn how motors, switches, sound and light works. It contains 80+ projects. Don't know what the rrp was but I paid £4.99.

Our 8 year old loves basic science and physics so she will love this.
Also got a retro Commodore 64 30 game plug and play for my husband as his old one is in the loft somewhere! Really basic games just as he will remember them. Just plug it into your tv to play. Was £3.99.

I would only get the Commodore 64 for someone who is in their forties as a bit of a stocking filler. The kids wouldn't thank you for it. When you look how bad the graphics were compared to now, but we did go mad for these at the time!0

Today I picked up a Shrek 2 trading card set which included a full box of 36 sealed packs of trading cards (rrp £1.99 each!!) and an album to keep them in (rrp £4.99), all for 99p.
My little one had great fun searching through all the cards for the full set, then with all the leftover cards we have been playing snap and memory, has kept her entertained for hours.
