Home Bargains is the trading name of TJ Morris Ltd of Liverpool. Quality Save is a shop which looks exactly the same, same colours and logo, and sells exactly the same stuff, but apparently is not a TJ Morris company.
It is not a seconds shop or ex-catalogue, though I have seen stuff in there from Argos (codes on boxes). Most of it is just bargain priced, end of range, stuff. Check the dates on the food though - sometimes you have to eat the crisps and choc within a couple of weeks, but not a problem in our house.

Best buys? Toys and chocolate, though I understand the drink is cheap too, though I don't buy it. Our ones are lovely clean shops too, not like some ex-catalogue shops are. The worst thing is I just can't go in there without spending lots of money.
There is a Home Bargains in St Anne's:

    Unit 7, Burlinton Centre
    St Annes
    FY8 1SB

awww thanks spuds,im so excited now,am so sad arent i lmao, when i lived in manchester i shopped in quality save all the time i loved it,so i really miss it,so yesterday when i seen about someone saying about st anns i thought crackin cause it looks like quality save, whohooooooooooo thats the best news ive had all night thanks you so much xxxxxxxxxxxxx guess whos going tomoorow lmao:D
    It`s getting to the point
  • Oh heaven, i love this shop too, i run a craft group, and i go into Home Bargains and buy crafts for the group, and the prices are a real bargain, i saw on a shopping channel the other night, 5 craft boxes and it was going from £50 it said to £20 and i was shouting at the tv, saying theyre only £2.99 each from Home Bargains.

I had retail therapy today, i went to HB aswell as instore and also dunnes, but the best has always got to be the pound shops.

I bought today dettol surface spray which was £1.29 in Asda its 50p dearer,
i also bought soft & gentle aroma therapy which was £1.29, and the same one was 70p dearer in Boots.

Then the best deal i got was the kitchen rolls, 3 for 99p, and they are Thirst Pockets, which is exactly like Bounty kitchen rolls but cheaper!
  • I bought the growling were-rabbit paws too...they are supposed to be for a Wallace and Gromit-mad 11 year old, but I can't stop putting my hand in the paw to hear it growl (hope I don't wear the battery out!)

I got the notelets and gel pen set too, but in my store they were cute kitten and puppy pictures by Keith Kimberlin...so cute, I'm going back tomorrow to see if I can get more, at 29p I can give them to everyone!

I adore Habs, I actually get withdrawal symptoms if I can't visit. Shopping there also produces the medical condition of Snortosis. You visit Boots or any other pharmacy, and start snorting..."huh! that's half the price in Habs!" Very addictive...:o

How true...I read your post and could immediately see myself doing the exact same thing. Gave me a giggle :D
