Cleaning the house while children are growing is like shovelling snow when it's still snowing!

Sad Sam Santa plush toy 99p. I did buy this for the dog but it is quite cute so may end up wrapping it for my little girl instead.

Just to let you know, I have just come back from the Northampton store and they have loads of the yes/no dolls. I got 4. They are in the top left hand corner of the store by the towels/bedding. Got some cheap gift bags 39p, quite a good size. All the advent calenders were half price. What a great shop!!!:j

The were-rabbit growling paws are fab! In Retford this morning. Also a great selection of children's stationery, Chicco toys, and luxury chocolate.

Just watch out for the yes/no dolls getting uppitty - my daughter tried to switch hers off yesterday ( guest expected in her office) - every time she tried to do it, the doll just shook her head twice. I think they're out for world domination.

Not sure if this has been posted, yet. Packs of 12 note cards in a set with a gel pen (blank inside) - Raymond Briggs' Snowman and Father Christmas, and The Little Polar Bear - at just 29p a pack. Nice for thankyou notes.

Also, a 'Robots' (the film) board game for £1.99, rrp £10, looks nice and simple for younger children. Pirate and Princess play tents for £9, looked quite nice quality. It's another Quality Save Christmas in our house.

Home Bargains is the trading name of TJ Morris Ltd of Liverpool. Quality Save is a shop which looks exactly the same, same colours and logo, and sells exactly the same stuff, but apparently is not a TJ Morris company.
It is not a seconds shop or ex-catalogue, though I have seen stuff in there from Argos (codes on boxes). Most of it is just bargain priced, end of range, stuff. Check the dates on the food though - sometimes you have to eat the crisps and choc within a couple of weeks, but not a problem in our house.

Best buys? Toys and chocolate, though I understand the drink is cheap too, though I don't buy it. Our ones are lovely clean shops too, not like some ex-catalogue shops are. The worst thing is I just can't go in there without spending lots of money.

There is a Home Bargains in St Anne's:

    Unit 7, Burlinton Centre
    St Annes
