Yes they do have some stuff. My daughters birthday is soon upon us and I have managed to get ballons, invites, plates, servettes and little bits and bobs for the party guests over the last week

They usually have a small selection of party wear in my local HB - often bang on the door stuff, currently balloons and modelling balloons, excellent funky present bags for around 29p upwards (usually around £2). Poundland are also good for party stuff - they often have Disney bags etc.

In Rugeley today they had a set of 3 Ever-Ready torches for £2.99 including batteries. The torch sizes were (I think) 2xD 2xAA & 1xAA. Torch gathering is a bit of a male passtime but even though I was tempted I didn't buy a set.

They also had Tasco 8x21mm rubber coated compact binoculars for £2.99 with case, lens cloth and limited lifetime warranty (basically manufacturing defects). These were £2.99 and for that I thought I'd grab a pair for in the glove compartment. They're great for the money, I can see right into the neighbours bedroom. They have the exact same model here: http://www.opticsale.com/tasco-essentials-8x21-165rb-folding-roof-prism-frp-compact-binoculars.html

We have this in both our Poundland (for a £, naturally) and for 99p (quelle surprise) in the 99p shop.

It's good for smearing onto your coconuts, and for slopping in the bath.

In Llandudno yesterday they had Hawaiian Tropic Luxury Body Butter, RRP £8.99 but £1.49 in HB. Smear it into your body and smell like a coconut, yum.

Also 16 pack Colombian Senseo Coffee pods, use by Nov 08, for 87p. Worth stocking up especially if you own a Senseo machine.

Must get some of those. Sure to start a few wicked whispers!

PS - do you find the staff in the Doncaster branch very miserable and generally ill-mannered? I do.
