Taking Yes Loans out of the equation completely, you are totally foolish to start looking at stupid loans in an attempt to rebuild your credit file..
Why don't you do something half sensible like open a Credit Union Acount and start saving money?
Once it has been going a little while, take a small loan out with them.0 -

I think you have it backwards.
The idea would be to get a job, then you're in a decent position to start repairing your credit file.
I really don't think the state of your credit file should be a priority for you right now. Surely you should be getting a job and living within your means, then think about your credit file a year or 2 down the line.Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -
A job is what you should be focusing on rather than a loan0

Whilst you will need to start building your credit file at some point, its probably a bit soon for it to make much difference right now if you've only just been discharged.
Basically no prime/high street lender will lend to you for 4-5years at a minimum, and at that point you'll only need say a year to 18months of current history (with subprimes) to show you can now handle credit responsibly.
So I would wait another couple of years and then start to consider building up a credit history - one good way to start this is a credit builder prepaid credit card - yes it costs £60 over a year to run it - but it will be far far cheaper than the sort of places that yes will (or won't) come up with for you.
Then after having that, and with only a year or 2 left of your bankruptcy still showing on file, you can start to consider other subprime lenders - such as the subprime cards / catalogues, other revolving credit accounts etc, which can cost you nothing in interest to use but still build up your credit rating. Using loans to try to build up your rating is always going to cost you a lot of money.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
