    Dear <Court>

Please find attached a letter dated <date> from Westcott to me, with reference to their claim <claim no> against me, which I am defending. This letter advises that the Court has entered a Judgement against me.

{As yet, I have not been notified of a hearing date} {I have been notified of a hearing in this case on <date>}. Would you kindly confirm that I do still have the opportunity to defend this case - or if Judgement has already been entered, could you kindly explain why I have had no opportunity to defend?

    Yours faithfully

    Stew

Stew, you did send your defence to the court and not to Westcott didn't you?

Your call. I would get the one to the court in the post ASAP and I would think about whether to send one to Westcott for a few days. But that is just me. I don't know my CPR.

  • :jI today received the following letter from wescot :-

    "Dear Sirs

We refer to your complete defense.

In view of your dispute you have raised we do not intend to pursue this matter any further and the balance has been written off.

    Yours Faithfully

    WESCOT."

I would like to thank you all for your help with this and wish your all a happy Christmas and new year!!:T
